Once your heart is set on leaving a place its hard to go back fully focused. I think the Canucks basically gave Luongo the shaft and handled the situation very poorly. He'll play, but it doesn't mean there won't be some fences to mend.

I think a lot of fence rebuilding is going to be dependant on how involved ownership was with what happened to Luongo in the first place and how they move forward with Gillis, or more appropriately, without Gillis.
If i were Vancouver, i'd be worried about the calm, cool, joking manner in which Luongo handled himself through the Schneider fiasco. To me, it's an indication that he's detached himself emotionally from the team and situation and not just "professionalism".
I really don't know how this could end well though, ever try doing something when your heart isn't 100% into it?

Roberto Luongo is still looking at his options. We don't know yet if he'll accept to go back to Vancouver. #RDS

Excellent point and it may be true. I guess Roberto is still thinking long and hard about returning and is mulling over all of his options.

Canucks fans shouldn't worry. A page back we got lectured by the experts on Luongo who told us all that he was a professional and would be happy to come back to the Canucks and not leave the money on the table.

Yeah once your divorce is final, pretty much the only reason to go back is if the ex-wife suddenly adds butt stuff to her repertoire.
