Aerodynamic stall. He did not have enough airspeed (nor altitude) when he attempted the half roll inverted. You can see the aircraft was sinking and not fully inverted when he pushed in an attempt to gain airspeed and altitude.
Low airspeed + high angle of attack + critically low altitude + human being on low pressure area of the wing affecting lift = this tragedy.
Charlie Schwenker was an exceptional pilot, it can happen to the best of the them. Godspeed Jane/Charlie.

So obviously I've been a little distracted lately, any word on how the first WestJet Encore flight to Nanaimo was?

A spotter at Manchester Airport caught the moment when an A330's right engine explodes.

I always love how calm and professional those UK pilots sound after any incident. Same voice no matter what.

I heard them roaring by as well. Ran to the window, knowing it was probably a fighter jet, but I was wrong. It was TWO fighter jets.
Did they have those CF-18's do a flyby for Canada Day celebrations or something?

Any of you plane geeks know if we're getting a parade fly-by tomorrow? If so, what time?

I would assume so it usually happens right at the start of the parade. Not sure if it is the Snowbirds or CF-18's.

I saw a CF-18 yesterday so I'm guessing they stuck around after Canada Day. That would be my bet for the parade flyover.

Won't be Snowbirds, they are in Moose Jaw and on the way to Saskatoon today.

How about a AN-225, an A380, a 747-800, and a 787?
