Rangers make sense. He has said his favorite place to play is at Madison Square Gardens. Not sure what kind of cap room the Rags have.

Unless Pittsburgh totally lowballs him, its going to be hard to leave Crosby and Malkin. Eastern travel will be better for him too. I think it's New York or Pittsburgh.

Kings hopefully. Funny though, mentally I still consider him a Flame.

If he really wanted to play for a contender, why not sign a cheap 1yr NMC deal with a team that most likely WON'T make the playoffs, and choose the most likely contending team to get dealt to at the deadline.
I would not hate picking up another late 1st round pick for annual Iggy rental

I'd love to see the Canucks overpay for him. I feel he's a shadow of the player that suited up for the Flames.

How would he even know what landing spots there potentially are? Maybe I'm naive, but aren't teams supposed to wait until July 5 in order to not be considered tamperers? If he's considering those locations, he's speculating as much as any one of us is. Unless, of course, someone's not following the rules.

I'm honestly glad he isn't considering the Flames. It's good for both the Flames and Iggy that we all move on.
That being said, if he signs with the nucks, I want his career to be ended in practice so he never plays a game with them

Yup it'll be Mats Sundin all over again.
Honestly I don't care where he signs either. I bet he goes to the Kings though.

Or maybe it'll end up like Anakin going to the Darkside, and in the Conference Finals he'll take out the Sedins, allowing Baertschi to score a game-winning breakaway goal, and the downfall of the Empire.
or maybe it will just suck

Why risk your entire legacy in calgary to play for a team with an incredibly small chance to win the cup? Go to LA Iggy

I think it'll be the Kings. Earlier in the year Warrener mentioned on the radio Iggy had said during day dreaming times he'd like to play in LA, Regehr is there, Darryl Sutter is there... depending on pay, I think he ends up there.

I don't think he will pick the Nucks because of the media side show that is going to happen this year.
Not surprised they are on his list. I sugested 5 months ago that he would think about them if he became UFA, only to be bombarded by posters saying he would never do it to Flames fans.

If he already signs for cheap, why bother going to a bottom feeder in first place? If he does that, his stats would hurt, and hence maybe nobody even wants to trade for him next deadline.
Your scenario would make sense if he signs NOT for cheap with a non-contender, and then hope that his stats won't collapse too much and contenders still want him at the deadline. That way he would collect the money and also a chance for glory.
