Flames willing to move #6 pick for top D or #1 center
John Shannon @JSportsnet 12s With 3 picks in 1st round, Flames have had "some" interest from other teams. They would listen for #6,but looking for top D or #1 Centre.
Roger Millions @RogMillions 29s SN's @JSportsnet also says #Flames are willing to move the sixth overall pick now...but the price will be steep. Centre-Dman..younger

Any of Nichushkin, Monahan, or Lindholm should develop into a 1st/2nd line player, which is what you might be lucky to get for 6, but you get the benefit of 3 cheap years before they cost a lot. NHL guys already cost a lot. Stupid asset management.

Because D take longer to develop, I like the idea of getting that need handled first, so all the prospects come together at the same time...I don't know of many D out there that are worth the 6th pick though...that are likely available, I mean.
Hedman?
Hamilton?
Myers + lower 1st?
