Even though it is a weak UFA year, there are probably going to be more players left unsigned than usual.
Being that supply might be up, along with the fact that the cap is down, there could well be some decent bargains.
I just hope that Feaster sticks to solid, role-player types and doesn't go nuts trying to be a hero.

Bryzgalov's agent just said he is actively considering Edmonton. Doesn't mean the Oilers are interested but it was interesting to hear. Hope the Oilers stay away. Would be ironic though.

He's just trying to drive the price up for his preferred destination - Siberia.

Just the type of guy to add veteran leadership to a young team. Word has it he was a big hit in the Flyers locker room.

I don't think the Oilers are interested. Winter was just saying Bryzgalov would actively consider Edmonton. I'd imagine he'd consider anywhere considering he has nowhere to play and there are only a few open spots.

Russian media reports that Sergei Kostitsyn has signed with KHL Avangard Omsk. So the SK74 & AK46 NHL saga is over. @nhlpredators

This is where I see the Preds needing a player like Cammy or Tanguay. They need proven wingers on their roster. Aside form the obvious conversation that would spring up about trading up to NSH pick with the 6 and one of these players. I think Moving tanguay for a player like Blum would be alright. Or Cammy for a second, Leipsic and Blum.

Don't let those 2 ruffle your feathers. The majority of CP like your info that you bring to our site. Now if we could just get you to drop being an Oilers fan and come over to the Flames, all would be good.
I got a question for you:
Is the proposed contract, from Edmonton to Gagner, more of a take it or we will trade you, or is it open for more discussion?

Carolina is going to need D and are going to need to clear a bit of cap. Not a lot of cap but a bit. This is where I see Gio being traded to for a good package. If they do move Gio that is.

Isn't Giordano in line to be the next captain? I thought Calgary was planning on building around him as the leader.

Feaster was very careful in wording those comments IIRC. Said based on the players available in the room at the time, the players voted heavily for Gio. I do think anyone not named T.J or Sven are on the table and they are listening to offers. But thats just my unfounded speculation.

I think NSH didn't qualify Blum, so he is a UFA?
This is according to a tweet by Rishaug

Not too long ago some suggested Smid for Blum deal. Blum not qualified by Preds, Smid signed at 4 x 3.5 m.

yup. I simply can't understand why people insert him into every trade proposal.
Our D, without Giordano, would make the Oilers look like the 76 Habs

Daniel Friedman @DFriedmanWFAN 46s Can confirm that talks between #Isles and Evgeni Nabokov are at a standstill. He will become a UFA on July 5th, barring a turn of events.

I think Cammy would do well in Carolina playing with their big centers.
