I was hoping for the image with the brown water that people are thinking is legit, but that works as well! Thanks!

Was just on Deerfoot. Shut down completely going South as all lanes under the Southland overpass are covered in water. Northbound at a standstill....had to get off & go East on Glenmore to Barlow. Not sure waht was going on Northbound but I would stay away!

S. Sask River now expected to crest on Monday. #MedHat #mhflood

S. Sask River now at 1,100 m3/s stream flow. Good news, it may only rise to 5,100. Still a major flooding event says emergency dir Robinson

Anyone know if edworthy is open? Or the pathway, wouldn't mind going for a stroll - the dog has been cooped up for days with the rain. Not sure if that area would be considered getting in the way?

According to this map:

http://google.org/crisismap/2013-alberta-floods

It doesn't seem to be a problem, but I would really think twice about heading down to that area right now.

Just seems unnecessary.

Yeah they were way off on the crest time of the South Sask, sucks for those who had to be gone by 10 pm last night as they now have 72 hours more, probably.

Why? They are still saying stay away unless you need to be there. Don't contribute to congestion. Keep the roads clear.

Yes all clear - but don't go if you don't have too

Went for a walk along the Bow today between 14th and 10th St NW and through Kensington and snapped these. There were lots of folks in the area just trying to see it for themselves.

Water appears to have receeded but it is still moving very fast. The Kensington area still has their power off so the businesses are all closed.

Ended up working 36 out of the last 39 hours for the flood. Avoid downtown, avoid riverbanks as we had numerous rescues from retaining walls giving away.

I hate that people put you in that situation. Really wish they could be heavily fined and publicly shamed.
