It's beautiful and sunny there, as it is in most of southern Alberta. Won't help. Their river is up a full meter since midnight and well over 1,000 m3/s already. Last night the Oldman here peaked at over 2,600 so it'll be that, plus the Little Bow, plus the Bow.

Anyone have an update on the status of all the arterial bridge crossings? The Calgary news blog lists seems out of date. (ie deerfoot open, I believe Crowchild is open)

Only one I can personally confirm is that Enmax Envision (or whatever you call it these days) is up at Canada Place (5th ave and 2 st). There are some other buildings serviced by Envision that are up, some that are down, and some that are degraded and running on secondary links, so your mileage will vary with them.

Im surprised by your "poor us" attitude. Things could have been much worse. There has been practically no loss of life for starters. Our City, our province is resilient and we're not the type to sit around feeling sorry for ourselves thinking "woe is us" cursing our bad luck.
It happened. Now we rebuild. We will become a stronger, closer community because of it. It is happening already. I've never been prouder to be a Calgarian.
