the defense and goaltending is similar but the Canucks talent up front the last few years has been better, they have much more skill than the Rangers did

I meant offensive, like AV said today in his PC

his first few years in Vancouver he was defensive because that's what he had to do with the group, the Rangers players couldn't score enough you had to play defensive

it all depends on the off season (and the PP as with every team) but the Canucks should be back to around the top 5 range in scoring next year with an offensive system, I don't think NYR could do that

Anythings possible but you are overrating the canucks forward group. The Sedin line with Burrows will get their points, and a healthy Kesler will score but he won't put up 40 ever again likely, and they really don't have any top six forwards after that.

Booth, Higgins, Kassian, Hansen - those are all 3rd line types that can chip in on occasion but when you only have 4 top-six forwards you aren't finishing top 5 in NHL scoring.
