Calf Robe is closed; but there are plenty of detours around to get down south via high ground. Finding an open bridge across the river will be key.

I would take Stoney Trail EB down to 17th Ave SE. Then go west to 52nd Street and take that all the way South as far as you can.

Great idea floated out o BT just now for those who wish to do something to help...

Apparently all evac centers are full so they suggested that if people wish, to stop by with food and drinks for those stuckthere and no chance of returning home for a while.

Im sending a bunch of coffee, donuts and sandwiches from Timmys over to the Acadia rec plex as we speak....everyone join in!

It's a good idea but with gridlock etc how do you get around?

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

I hate the fact I'm at work up north right now, wish I was there to help the people affected.

Might want to confirm with the City though. High River, Canmore, have all been turning away food as they can't accept it at evac locations. Risk of allergic reaction and food poisoning among many reasons its not possible (makes a bad situation even worse)

Ya, I'm in the same boat, no chance of getting to any of these places even if I wanted too.

And looks like we are having some plumbing issues, bath tub not draining. Worried the toilet would be next which would really suck!

We are in Lynnwood, over by Ogden. Up on the ridge all safe, didn't think we would be affected but that could change!

Yeah thats an issue for many....my GF owns 3 different stores so i am getting a bunch of stuff loaded up in one of the south stores and then its not that far to Acadia.

I suppose this would only work for those near the evac centers.

The Blue Jackets have some good people manning their Twitter account. They obviously saw the Flames accounts sending updates out. Nice thought by the Jackets' people.

Yes i guess the allergy thing is a potential problem...but those that have them generally know what is OK and what isnt I would think...not sure where the food poisoning thing comes in...Tims isnt THAT bad!
