On a serious note though, someone was down in Sunnyside taking pics ... and they gave me serious hope.

this is a view down my street ... my place is halfway down, and it "might" be the whiskey talking, but to me the middle of that street looks dryish (halfway down the next block). I might be ok for now ... we'll see what happens.

Regardless, this is literally 100% better than I was expecting at this time. Thanks to @JeffALewis for giving me some hope.

My company issued an email that said (paraphrase) "hey we'll support you for whatever you wanna do, just notify your supervisor", but to be honest, our building is pretty far from the river. I could see our people making a call either way. It'd be tough to see our building get evacuated, but I guess you never know.

We've been told to stay home. On 11th Ave, between 3rd and 4th Street NE. Just North of the Cowboys casino for landmark reference.

Yeah, I was down there around 8 and the Inglewood golf course was under water. The weir is just surging right now, kind of crazy actually. I wouldn't be surprise if southbound deerfoot gets flooded out if they expect the waters to rise.

Word is that the Twitter won't let the CPS tweet because they are "over their limit". Unbelievable.

Comparison of the Bow at 5PM and at 8:30PM down by Cranston. The riverbank is usually at the island in the first picture: |

My in-laws are just a couple hundred feet away from the Peace Bridge in West Eau Claire, still no evacuation for them.
We told them to pack and bag and move their cars out of the underground parkade now, then get to our place whenever they can.
