I'm thinking Diamond Cove's residences near that big ridge over the Bow are the one's being evacuated. I'd thinking Mountain Park as well.

Inglewood is the only thing south of the Elbow/Bow confluence that's official right now.

Good luck to everyone in Calgary and southern AB. I hope you're all safe along with your families and pets.

Is there a good topographic map of the city anywhere? It would be nice to see where everyone stands, and who may want to keep their options open in case they have to evacuate later.

Off the top of my head, I remember that Google Earth has a 3D map that had some rough topographic data.

The rain in Calgary is mostly irrelevant, the headwaters of our rivers are in the mountains, and that's where the flood waters are coming from.

Best is to just look at the City's flood maps (ones used in the evac maps), which show 100yr flood levels, gives a good indication of topography and possibility of getting wet.

sorry was eating dinner. They said all those communities that police are asking people to leave with overnight supplies and stay at friends, etc. An emergency center is being set up but sorry I missed just where.
You are to leave an x on your front door so police know that those homes are vacated.
I hope this doesn't effect you. Take care.
