Apparently 2005 was our "100-year-flood", and if this is going to top it, we're in for a very serious situation here. I'm not trying to sound alarmist or anything, but I just can't shake the feeling that this is not going to be pretty. At all.

Stay safe everyone, and I'll join the numerous others here by offering any assistance that I can - just ask for it.

CTV Lethbridge just posted the Oldman crest info on their fb page, and someone in this thread had said Elbow might reach 1200 m3/s.

The Oldman river is expected to reach 3000 cubic meters per second. In 1995 it reached 4500. Either way, that's crazy!

They're saying to expect '95 levels of flooding here. I was 4 years old so I know nothing of it.

I was 20 at the time. I remember it quite well. I biked down to the University and checked out the river. I didn't get too far down the coulee, but a young neighbour kid and his friend did, and one of them lost their bike in the river as they got too close. I remember it being dry, and biking along the top edges of the coulees, but yet there was all that water running through the river bottom.
