Kawasaki is such a defensive hitter. He never seems to be looking to get a hit...it always looks like he is fighting off pitches...even pretty hittable pitches.

I haven't been the biggest Lind fan for the past couple years, but it's crazy watching him now. He's going up to the plate expecting a bas hit or more every time.

Gotta give him credit, he's been to the minors and back, and has responded. Good for him.

Even though I criticize Kawasaki's approach at the plate, his attitude has been absolutely crucial in keeping the Jays in the race...especially with the Reyes injury. I wish he'd square up at the plate more though.

Cecil 38 straight batters without a hit allowed. Incredible. That's 12 2/3 innings of no hit ball.

Make it 8 straight. What a run they're on.........unreal. Pitching has been great, and defense has been pretty good too. Let's go for 9!

I love Kawasaki's approach personally. Jays have a lot of guys who go up there to just mash, you gotta have the balance that Muni brings. Works the deep counts, giving the pitcher frustration and any base runners more time to advance on PB's and WP's as well as steal the odd base. You wouldn't want a team full of Kawasaki's by any means but I think on his own he is very useful.

8 in a row! 14 runs against in that span and just 9 runs against in the last 7...absolutely incredible.

Said it before many times this when the Jays have a string of games against the AL east, but this time around is big.

If they can go at least 7-3 during this stretch, then we can really start to see them get right back in the race for the AL east and of course the wildcard.

Bandwagon!

Lind is making a lot of us eat crow. He has the tools to be a great hitter.
Uses all fields and can hit for power to all of them. Which is why I felt he was a decent bet to get back to his career year about 3 years ago. But last year I was convinced that he lacked the desire to do so. Hopefully we are seeing the guy who had the 950 OPS with 35 dingers.

As hard as I've been on Arencibia - guy has put some solid at bats together over the last few series. Taking some elevated fastballs, which he could have laid off 3 weeks ago. It's nice to see - JP seems to be finding a pitch an at bat to hammer. Whether or not he hits it is another story, but he's at least working a count to see a mistake.
