The Wild are making an official change to team policy that we no longer will take conditional picks. You either have the pick or you don't. After seeing almost all our conditions filled this year with the worst possible pick - it makes no sense to continue to take conditional picks. Teams that don't have picks are gaining an advantage by promising a future pick and then delivering the worst version of the pick. Teams that actually had picks during the year traded those, 90% of which were better than any conditional pick.

So this is one team that no longer will accept conditional picks.

I've always assumed I will get the worst possible pick from a condition. Delivering a better then required asset is poor gming IMO (unless its totally unavoidable).

I don't have a problem with the fact GMs have done it - I get it.
But I just won't be accepting it going forward

Other than with Vancouver, I've always stated with the team that was acquiring a pick was getting the worst possible one and they were fine with that entirely as the player that was getting acquired was worth a mid pick a round less than what was delivered and gave a bit more to get the player.
