Tschetter maintains he wasn’t drunk when behind the wheel of his truck on that day in December 2007, even though he was seen driving erratically, drank from a mickey of vodka after the crash and threw the bottle into the hopper.

Daniel Tschetter has to be the most despised person in Calgary.

What would have been the sentence if the guy was sober and driving erratically and killed those people? When did alcohol become a legitimate excuse for anything?

He killed 5 people, I dont care if he was sober, if he was in the wrong he should be doing more than 5 years. I dont care if it was an accident, what happens is always someones fault and I think a life is worth more than a year behind bars no matter the justifcation.

Just another strike against for me on a justice system that is obviously built to protect and shelter the guilty. God I hope I never have to deal with it on any side of the aisle.
