I won't believe it until I hear the rumour from SCH.

Rumors out of Quebec about a possible announcement on April 29th.
PKP could not hide a huge smile when asked about the Coyotes
The Wall Street Journal writes a story about the Nordiques:

Also draft lottery day. Huge chance that the Panthers/Nordiques could get the first overall pick as well. That would be a great welcome-back to present from the NHL!

I cringe at the thought of Seth Jones going to Florida and what a waste of marketability it would be for the NHL.
The team moving to QC is better but would still love to see this kid in a bigger US market.

It would funny if Jones gets drafted by Quebec and then pulls a Lindros. Then gets traded to the Flyers to replace Pronger.

Nice call. I'm sure that would play very well in QC. The return of the Stastny name to Quebec. Use #2 pick to grab another francophone like Drouin. Jonathan Huberdeau is already there. Sets up quite nicely. Trade for Tanguay to captain the team...

Panthers aren't moving to Quebec. I believe they have another 20+ years on their lease at BAC.

Yeah, from what I understand the Panthers are doing just fine financially once you account for their sweetheart arena deal and the money they get from running it.

Stay away from Quebec City. If there must be another Canadian NHL franchise (and I'm not sure that's the case), put it in southern Ontario.

Really hope they do move to Quebec/a state or province that actually cares about hockey.

Wouldn't you think that if the Coyotes had a real chance of moving to QC, that the NHL wouldn't have already done conference realignment moving both Detroit and Columbus to the East?

Maybe but the re-alignment didn't seem to be done with much care or thought for the future. Unnecessarily rushed when they should have just swapped Winnipeg and Columbus. Botched by the NHL a year ago and luckily the PA nixed and they managed to botch it again this time as well.

It would make sense to move the Coyotes to Quebec City, a starving fan base with real NHL history. Seattle was in the league before when my great grandfather was alive, and the possible owner is NBA first, and they don't even have the NBA team they are pining for yet.
Crossing my fingers for Monday loved watching the Battle of Quebec in the playoffs

Phoenix to Seattle I like, Kansas City will probably turn into another Atlanta disaster, Houston might be good as a rival for Dallas. I would move Florida to the GTA and leave Tampa alone.
