I like his comment about how he realizes the speed of the NHL game is much faster and that he needs to work on that. It'll be interesting to see how he looks at camp in the summer.

I have absolutely no "official" confirmation of this, but my contact within the Flames seems to think this was a one night only promotion since it was a fundraiser and they were selling quite quickly. There may not be any stock left.

Which means I'll be buying beer trying to trade him for one.

Good game by the young Flames. Backlund is seeming to get better and better. Was great to see his excitement when Hanowski got his first goal

I wish Hartley will play Cervenka more. He has got good hands and his speed has improved since his first game. He also gets more involved in the forecheck as the season has progressed.

At this point, Backlund is the highest probability player to be a flame the next time the make the playoffs. Based on age, and the fact that he is an established NHLer. And I think he will put up 60-70 points next year.
