Default Some things I don't want to see

Welcome to the dark ages children. Things are about to get bad . . . very bad. We are seeing the final destruction of this core as it gives up and goes through the motions. We're going to see a team that more then likely gets boo'd off of the ice more then its cheered off of the ice. I wouldn't be surprised if the Flames leave their final home game to a shower of empty beer cups.

But there are things that I don't want to see.

Any kind of party celebrating a first round draft pick . . . ever.

Our GM with a smirk or a smile on his face as he talks about getting a top pick. You failed and the organization failed, getting a top pick is no reason to celebrate.

Cheerleaders in the stands. We don't need distractions from the miseries of watching this abortion.

The end of the words intellectual honesty, if anyone uses it HIYAH Throat punch.

Personally after tonights game I'd like to see the Flames take the ice in the next game wearing their ratty practice jerseys, tonight was a disgrace to the Flames colors.

No smirks no draft parties at the Dome, no cheerleaders and most of all, I never want to see garbage like I saw tonight from my team.

Period.

I was with you until you mentioned cheerleaders.

I'd like to see no empty seats in the Dome.

People need to come out and support this team, if not down the stretch, then when the season resumes next season.

Our time is starting now. New players, new prospects, new look. Doom and gloom is for our northern sisters. Remember, if your not first, your last. That's the ONLY thing that doesn't change.

Agreed with all of the above.

I also don't want to see Feaster at TSN's lottery special with the same smirk on his face like you said.

No streamers, party balloons, and party horns.

Try not to actively cheer losses, just don't cheer for wins either...

Oh and perhaps most importantly don't jump on the Oilers (or Canucks) bandwagon!

They bloody well better show up. Fans have been whining about a rebuild long and hard. Fans stop showing up and Edwards says "see? Told you Calgary would never support a rebuild!".
And he would be right.

I actually emailed Steinberg about this dumb-ass catchphrase of Jay's tonight. I am guessing it will make it to air.

The team has a job to show me there's something worth being excited about. I need incentive to spend my money and don't have an obligation to financially support them. As of now, right now? They suck, there's no superstars to watch and until we make it to the draft those picks are simply an idea.

You know what I don't want to see... Say this rebuild becomes longer-term. The org pulling the same threats from the 90s. "Buy season tickets or the Flames leave."

This was one of the more humiliating losses in recent years (the most embarrassing was a 9-0 loss to Boston a couple years back though, I remember feeling really ####ty after that one)

At least it was on the road...Didn't Butler set the modern day record for +/- in that game?

I believe so, and I don't think it has been broken yet, but i'm not 100% on that. And with the amount of Oil jerseys in the building this game, you might as well say it was a road game. I'd feel bad playing in a building under those circumstances.

It's all good, at least we can expect a lockout every few years so we don't have to watch the team suck so much.

This was worse. Eight straight goals against at home against your rival.
