I'm okay with this. It's Kipper.

I see both sides to this situation. However, I'm glad he's riding into the sunset as a member of the Flames. I doubt a stat like this exists because it's pretty subjective, but I'm curious at the number of games he single handled won for the team over his tenure.
I think "The Scorpion" save remains my favorite.

I'd say lets figure those 6 out first.

Brossiot has an outside chance too. And Gilles is still a solid prospect for a couple years down the road.

Let's let Kiprusoff announce the man's retirement, not Dreger. I am sure it to be the case, but some guy announcing it just so he can move onto the Luongo rumors for the beloved Maple Leafs isn't the way this should be announced.
Glad the Flames...sorry, the fans (Feaster's probably upset at this too, maybe he can clean his teeth during Kipper's tribute too), can give him the proper sendoff befitting the team's best ever goalie.

Feaster has done a horrible job in the players relation department. I would not be surprised to c kipper come back to the nhl 14/15 season

That they won't have 1 year left at nearly a fifth of their AAV.

That is disappointing to hear. I thought Kipper would have a little more integrity than that.

Sounded to me more like he wasn't interested in playing somewhere else (or anywhere) beyond this year. So the whole "it's only 2-3 months" argument fails.

There is quite a bit of irony in your post, given you are basically accusing Kiprusoff of being selfish because he won't accede to your own selfish wants.

yah ill concede that. im 22, so i dont know what its like to have a kid. for me being on the road for a couple months is not a big deal, but im not in his shoes.
Fair enough, just really wish we could get some assets for him is all.

This reminds me of the last Olympics, where he said he wouldn't play for Finland unless he is the starter. This is nothing but a guy who wants his way, or else he is going to take his ball and go home

Lots of respect for both Jarome and Miikka, but these last few weeks really do show how screwed up this team had become.
Iggy and Kipper had become "bigger" than the team. Lots of love for both of those players, but I'm glad the era has ended.

We gave him a NTC in order to resign him last time. He has been one o our best goalies of all time. We owe it to him to honour this without disparaging him.

I love Glencross when he's on his game.
Can you please point me to the season where he did indeed score 30?
