Where do you get your hair cut?

Posing this question to the men of CP - wondering where everyone gets their hair cut and if anyone has any good recamendations..? And yes, I know from past threads alot of you cut your hair yourself with hair trimmers and what not - I have no interest in that. Looking for a good a place somewhere downtown or close that is reasonably priced but has actual trained people doing the cutting - not "Supercuts" or a similar spot.
I have been going to MVP for a while but feel their service/quality has gone down and want to try somewhere new.

I go to Hedkandi. They do a "between cut" clean-up for free (you should tip), which is pretty awesome.
It's more expensive, but won't break the bank. Their stylists actually style too, which can't be said for a lot of places.

Mainstreet Barber in Airdrie. They also do hot shaves. Price is not bad.

Razors edge in aveneda. Johnny is great. Tarek used to be a big hit but went and opened his own in Discovery Ridge. Either place with the suggested barber is great.

			Eveline Charles in the Core.
Been going to a stylist there for 2 years. Fairly costly, but with hair I find you really get what you pay for.

I used to go to Prestige Barber. Good haircut long ######ed waits. I thought I'd switch and try this place called MVP. Not only was my haircut crappy they charged like $35. So don't go to MVP! I'm still looking for a new place also, I'll post if I find a good spot.

This is the only place in town I will go to. $21 for an adult haircut and these guys are masters at what they do.

I highly recommend them.

Is there really a difference between a $50 and a $20 cut? Particularly when you are getting a short cut anyways? Not to mention the tip you are expected to leave at most places. Ive been getting the more expensive cuts for years and tempted to try a cheap place to see the difference.

For me I just appreciate working with a stylist who knows my hair history, understands my hair type/wave and head shape, and will make tweaks to my style to match the trends as they change.

Most of what you pay for at a high-end venue is the stylist, not the cut.

Tell us how it turns out. I'm curious as I would like to try a new hair stylist as well.

Every 3 months or so, I walk in and say just use the #4 setting, Costs me $12. I used to do my own, but realized spending $12 was worth it.

There is a men's barber shop in McKenzie Towne on High Street. (Not the Supercuts- but two doors down.) It's very much like an old school barber shop- sports on TV and men's magazines in the waiting area. Nobody takes your name- customers just have to remember who's next.
The barbers all do a great job.
