I"m still pretty sure it was Boston's epic collapse in the 3rd period that Iggy chose the Pens.

Corey Pronman @coreypronman 14m
Seen a lot of Hanowski recently. Good hockey sense, average skill, great shot, skating is an issue. Ok 2L potential. Good PP guy.
Corey Pronman @coreypronman 7m
Agostino is a hard working forward, has good skill, tough, protects puck well but he's small. Average speed. Projects as a 3L forward.

Honestly Ari.....does it matter?
This team is in a rebuild and not a one year turnaround type of rebuild.
I have no problem with the return as when a club has 3 teams to negotiate with, the return will always be limited in comparison. I like NCAA players myself if they are the right guys. The 1st was never going to be a great position because of who the 3 teams were.
At this point we have to trust Weisbrod knowing enough about these guys through his scouting years and projects them to starters in the NHL.

As much as I'm gonna miss Iggy, we needed to do this and I'm glad it's now done.
It will be a fresh start for this franchise. Time to let the Sven, Seth, whatever era begin....even if it takes a few years to start up.

If Iggy wins a cup this year, I could totally see him returning to Calgary to not uproot his family. 2 propsects (not blue chippers by no means) and a 1st for losing 2 months of Iggy would not be horrible. It he doesn't re-sign, Feaster may have gotten fleeced, but going to hockeyfutures.com and looking up these to guys, doesn't make you qualified to call this deal garbage. Wait and see.

During Agostino's time at Yale, that has been one of the most dominant programs in college hockey. He has been a top player on a top college team along the lines of how we all think of North Dakota, Michigan, Boston College.

i don't give two craps what he has done to 'reform' himself now. He ended the career of my favorite non-flame player ever!

I don't. Do you really think Iggy's desire to win will be gone from one playoff run?
It's not like he would be coming back to try and help the flames make the playoffs next year. Flames will be out of playoff contention for a couple of years.
Also he has said many times that he does not want to be part of a rebuild.

I disagree. The Oilers in their 1980's prime would be my pick as much as I hate to say it.
