I need to wait and see if that pick is actually conditional. If it is, he needs to go, I wanted him gone immediately after the O'Reilly fiasco, it probably would have saved us. Even a guy coming in with little time would probably do a better job rebuilding this team than Feaster.
Feaster and Weisbrod get way too attached to the idea of acquiring certain players they've been eyeing for a while. The Bruins took advantage of 2 fools and made them look like children.
They did this with Jankowski, Feaster did it with Byron. This is all the reason I need to want to see them fired.

Not getting the first guaranteed means he's a piss poor negotiator. He can leave as soon as it's confirmed we gave away iginla for a 2nd and a 7th.

if management/king/feaster all had their hands on this, isn't it safe to just call them all idiots rather than pinning it on feaster, the guy with the least say in the whole thing regardless?
While i want Feaster fired, we need ownership and Ken King to stay out of hockey trades and operations. We need a new president as well as a new GM. Edwards just write the cheques when asked.
Only way this crap team that is now worse than the Oilers ever gets fixed is if they bring in a hard-ass like Burke who will tell Edwards and the rest of the meddling owners to bugger off.
Even if the first round pick isn't conditional, he needs to be fired. Iginla just returned less than Kaberle did in the exact same type of deal WITH THE EXACT SAME GM. If the first round pick is conditional, then I am just devastated as a fan of this team
I have never actually lobbied for a guy to lose his job before, and I wrote SN several emails when they fired Loubardious over that BS before, but this is the real world and when you are as bad as Jay Feaster is at his job you have to be fired.
Can we get a website made or something?

Gotta say I'm a little disheartened...and I was even when the first was guaranteed. Combine this with the Regehr trade and the ROR fiasco, and Feaster is working his way out of Calgary.
That said, I have to hold judgement on THIS PARTICULAR EVENT until the facts are out.

He's proven himself awful at his job in his short tenure already here. There's no way in hell this useless oaf should be in charge of a rebuild. He's about as bright as a 2 watt bulb....
This has Wisebroad's finger prints all over it. It has to given his direct Boston connections prior to being here...but did they go with the easiest deal to make rather then wait it out...another week to field offers as teams start to get more tense.
But, King, Feaster, and the owners would have to approve of shipping the franchise player and HOF'er out.
The press conference tomorrow better have some pointed questioned aimed at everyone in that room about the whole situation.
