It's not Vancouver's fault. The refs are against the city.

I won't lie, I wore shorts yesterday and it was fantastic. But it also took 55 minutes to drive 10.8km to pick up my kid at wrestling practice in NW. Stupid traffic is stupid.

I live in the cold north and wore shorts this weekend.
If you are arguing weather I think Grande Prairie is the winner. It is cold here in the winter and warm in the summer with a dry fall and a wet spring. We have all four seasons and aside from this winter it generally stays frozen in the winter which means no dirty slushy roads. In the summer we get a lot of days in the high 20's low 30's and loads of daylight. Right now we get 5-10 minutes more daylight than Calgary or Vancouver, but come June we will have more than an hour of extra daylight each and every day.

Calgary is the sunniest city in Calgary with 333 days per year of sun
Grand Prairie is very good with 314 days
Vancouver gets 288 days

Growing up in Fort McMurray I had a love-hate relationship with those late sunsets. It was amazing when you were out, camping, having some drinks.... but it was a different story when you had a 5am alarm set, it was 10pm and still bright out and you just wanted the sun to set so you could get some sleep.

Shoulda had some custom blackout blinds made. I have those in all the bedrooms in my house. They're completely sick. Just four snaps on the fabric that snap into 4 adhesive-backed snaps in each corner of the window. Maybe too late for you now, but if you have trouble sleeping when it's bright out send me a PM with your window dimensions and I'll hook you up.

Where are you getting those numbers from? They all seem really high.

They are for days when the sun is shining bright at some point in the day.

Ditto. I don't need the sun to be up pass 10pm in June and I would like to see the sun after 4pm in December. The extreme variation of sunlight time between summer and winter bothers me.

...it turns out Vancouver does get freezing rain, on average of one day a year

Sugar Daddy Capital Of Canada: Vancouver

http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2013/04...n_3102890.html

Vancouver sugar daddies are also the most generous in Canada, spending an average $4,928 per month on their sugar babies, $600 above the national average.

According to SeekingArrangement, the average sugar daddy in Canada is 38 years old with an annual income around $271,198 - 19 per cent of which is devoted to his baby. Married men make up 31 per cent of those counted, compared to 46 per cent in 2007.

Hasn't rained in Vancouver in 33 days. It's been sunny and 23-26 degrees pretty much every day.

Just being that annoying Vancouver guy.

If you live in Vancouver how is this surprising? Vancouver is pretty much the driest place in Canada in July and August.

It has been pretty freaking nice here for awhile that is for sure. We spend most of our evenings up at White Pine beach as the water stays so warm. Good temperature, not crazy hot but nice and it cools just enough in the evenings.

I was in Vancouver in July and the weather was very nice (dry and no rain). If only it stays that way more often.

Last rain I saw here was June 20. Hasn't been cloudy in July. The best part is, this isn't even weird. Pretty much normal.

Don't worry though. Our weather sucks.
