I was talking about playoff seeding originally and that France isn't ranked that high.

So for example if the playoff teams included England, Croatia, Portugal and Greece (all currently in 2nd place in their groups) then France would not be seeded and have to draw one of them.

So a England-France playoff is possible.

Lescott is decent.

Johnson hasn't looked catastrophic since Euro's.. but still not fond of.

Gerrad isn't fit for the National Team? I'm a United fan, and can't even tell you how far out to lunch you are.
Perhaps I am just tired of seeing slow, older guys that seem to be flat footed more often than not and unable to keep up with the top teams.

Can't stand Gerrard and think he looks awful whether for Liverpool or England but understand people in media and English fans love him for some reason. Crap, crap, crap from what I have seen.

Gerrard is 2nd in the EPL in assists with 9, plus has 8 goals. Not bad for someone who can't keep up.

Not to mention, who would you propose replacing him with? All that young up-and-coming English talent?

I don't know. France was in Pot 4 in the 16 team Euro 2012 draw and ended up luckily in Ukraine's group.

They were in Pot 2 in this 53 team WC qualifying and ended up in Spain's group.

France gets no favours. They're qualifying record is terrible lately so they don't accumulate enough points.

I've never been so embarrassed to support the scottish national team

San Marino and Andorra can still technically qualify and we are officially out

There was a clear penalty on the U.S. that wasn't called, but I'll take the result.

105K at Azteca in shock...

US lucky on a couple of non calls in the penalty box. Make shift US back line bent with a couple of yellow cards but hung on.

Memorable even historic 4 points for the US last few days.

Scottish fans yesterday in Novi Sad. It was freezing, but apparently not for them.

Not only did they help clean the pitch but they also showed their generosity as well when they donated 1 500 pounds to a local children charity.

Good! It would be great to see him suspended and to see Uruguay finish 6th (where they currently are) and miss the World Cup being held in Brazil (where they won it last time).

It's the most important World Cup for Urugary to qualify for. This team would be considered a collosal failure in that country.
