Until the philosophy of this organization changes this team is going no where.

Ha ha ha I love the passion from the fans. Nobody on this board who is a regular poster will be able to stay away from the Flames for long.

Sorry disagree with this post. Many of the disgruntled fans have been around since the beginning. They've lived through the few good years and all the bad years. Their (and mine) displeasure with the team is justified. This is not a group of amateur kids playing for the fun of it. These are well paid professionals. The absolute lack of effort displayed by this team is unacceptable. Regardless of whether you cheer for the Oilers or not at least that group is trying to improve. If you can honestly say you'd not like some of their young players then you obviously are prepared to let bias cloud your judgement. Don't let the Oiler/Flames rivalry blind your logic.

What you said, makes no sense in what you replied to. You're confused.

Great post. I have been an avid fan of the flames since the days of the Corral. I can say without a doubt, i have never been as down as i am now on the flames and the organization. That really is sad considering the "young guns" period.

Nope, it's you.

There is a big separation between being a bandwagon fan and being able to admit your rival team has good pieces or players. I can say that the Oilers have good players in Taylor Hall and Justin Schutlz but that doesn't mean I'm going to start cheering for them.

Your post had nothing to do with bandwagon jumping. Again, you really are confused and must have quoted the wrong post.

I totally agree. We had a standing room package at the top of the Corral from day one. Was there when we won the cup. The lack of effort displayed by this team the last few years has tested my loyalty as a fan. I now live in B.C. and many of our friends can not understand why we don't cheer for the Canucks. I hold out hope that the flames organization will once again strive to be a winning organization. At the moment I'm not sure they give a damn about anything.

Okay, so you're not a bandwagon fan, you're a frustrated fan like lots of us. You really are confused as to what you were responding to.

The post you qouted is not a Flames fan respecting what the Oilers have, it's Flames fan ditching his allegiance to the Flames and becoming an Oilers fan.

I can understand taking a bit of a break from following the Flames full bore, and maybe "adopting" a team like Boston or something to follow more closely, while always keeping an eye on the Flames as they try to turn things around.

But to stop being a Flames fan altogether and go and cheer for the Oilers or Canucks is idiotic IMO.

Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

My post had everything to do with bandwagon jumping. The reasons I stated were everthing to do with why people have decided to cheer for the Oilers. Like I said at least they have made an effort to improve. To suggest that because they cheer for them they are "scum" is totally uncalled for. They (and I) are simply fans who are fed up with this pathetic version of the Flames.
