How is Baertschi doing in the AHL?
Didn't see this on back burner but I'm sure a lot of people are interested.. How many games has he played, how as he looked, any points? Getting his confidence back?
Wondering how long the coaches are going to keep him down there for if our team continues to lose.

Looks like he's been in 1 game and had 0 points -1 and 3 sog
And if I heard correctly, he missed the net in the shootout. God I hope this team doesn't stunt his growth.
Apparently Sven said himself this is the lowest he's ever felt (confidence wise)

I thinke Flames might send down Comeau just so he can take Baertschi's place on the top line....

As bad as Comeau has been offensively etc hes at least trying to hit guys. I still don't like him in our top 9 but at least hes showing some fight...unlike guys like Glencross.

it was a joke. I said it because I think Baertschi should have been put in the top 6 but Comeau was.

I would expect a few games to get his feet under himself and adjust to his surroundings before we start to see him get going. WOuldn't be surprised to see something like 2 pts in his first 5 games and then 5 or 6 pts in his next 5.

Are you saying we should temper our expectations when we keep hearing that Karri Ramo is the best goalie not in the NHL?!

Which is a cautionary tale of just how much better the NHL is than other leagues and being a star in the KHL doesn't mean you will even be a regular in the NHL. That said I wouldn't pass off Cervenka as a failure as I feel with an offseason to move his family over and full training camp we may see a lot more from him next year. If he returns of course.

We were also told he was a center, foolish for us to assume Feaster meant a KHL center

Ramo is also a Feaster draft pick so that should also set off a light bulb or two right there.

I'd say Brunner was the "Best player not in the NHL", not Cervenka.

Cervenka has been fine, IMO. Considering the factors, he's performed well.

agreed, he shouldn't have been counted on to be the teams #1 center and that isn't his fault

I'm not sure I'd say Cervenka has performed well, but considering everything I'm okay with where he's at right now. Next season is the real measuring stick.
