Ruin for Drouin

Just have to mispronounce his name ever so slightly.

Congrats to Comeau, hardest working Flame of the game as per Mike Rogers.

Love that Backlund is showing some true promise. There is a future with this team, but it needs some reinforcements.

Anyway.. I'm kinda feeling done with hockey for a bit. If the good guys can't catch a break when playing their hearts out (despite the odd brain fart) then it's just too depressing. I wish the trade deadline was tomorrow, then draft day the next day. I am very much looking forward to seeing MacKinnon don the flaming C in october.

I know, I wasn't being sarcastic. Calgary played a heck of a game they are just not in the same class as L.A. who didn't play all that great but still won.

I hate our new division. We have serious problems playing in California.
At this point 13 other teams in the conference can make that claim.

Laughable and sad how easy that was for LA.

not terrible, all things considered. Not the ugly blowout I was expecting from the Kings at home with last change.

Flames skated hard and played as tough as they could but it was no match for the Kings who likely should've won by about 4 or 5-1 with any puckluck.

Great goal by Buckland, happy to see him back and seemingly no worse for ware. Would like to see him get more icetime once he's back in the swing and can handle the minutes on his knee.

Mikael Backlund was easily the best Flame tonight. He is without a doubt our best three zone player.

Much better effort from the Flames tonight than Saturday. The Kings are just that much better and were in their Stanley Cup run form. It is what it is.

Great to see Backlund score that highlight-reel goal. That goal reminded me why he still has real top-6 potential. Alec Martinez, you just got punked!

The play on the empty net goal...that is why Jay Bouwmeester has never played playoff hockey in the pros.

I bet this game will give management hope that they are a couple of moves away from sneaking into the playoffs.
