This leaves Minnesota with quite literally no receivers who would start anywhere in the NFL.
leads me to believe they have agreed to sign Greg jennings as their new #1.

This is the only thing that makes sense to me. Although rumblings of this trade have been happening ever since Harvin was put on the IR. Rumors coming out he's had multiple heated exchanges with Leslie Fraser, outside of the one caught on the TV feeds.
I think the Vikings fared pretty good with three picks, to be honest. Talk around Minnesota sports writers was that expecting anything more than a 2nd shouldn't be expected. So cheap from a Seattle perspective but decent from a Vikings perspective.
Do I like the trade? Obviously not, love Harvin and what he brings to the team. But in all honesty, he's not worth Calvin Johnson money and no one player should be above the rest of the team. Am curious to see what kind of extension he get's with Seattle.

Seattle has a ton of cap space, so no issue there. Ditch Flynn if they want even more.
The issue could be Harvin's baggage. Thanks to R. Wilson last year, each of the Seattle receivers had good years, and were good players. Miller the TE as well, and Rice did the most.
With a lot of quality to pass around to, and Wilson still going to be running the read option, Harvin, even as a #1 will have to wait his turn for the ball.
It was the biggest need for the team on offense, but as I said, last year they did a lot more then expected at the WR position, so hope it doesn't shake that balance.
Next up, the biggest need in my opinion, getting a better rush on the QB to help Clemons and Irving. Thus some DE or DT help (UFA R. Seymour reunite with Cable?), and a linebacker to replace Hill, who's in legal trouble again. (UFA James Harrison from PIT)?

Actually thats a HUGE price to pay for a guy that may or my not play every game because of recurring migraines. He has never started every game in a season and has never eclipsed 1000 yds and averages 6 TDs a year, though much of that is to do with his QB's as well.
No doubt he is a difference maker when he is good to go,....he just isnt that guy all the time though.
Glad he is out of the packers division though...i will say that.

You can worry about that stuff later. The name is to win now! It's not a mediocre draft so much as it's a draft that lacks good quarterbacks. The rest of this draft by all accounts is pretty solid at all the other positions.

This says it perfectly, from a Minnesota beat writer.
"If the Vikings did get multiple picks for Harvin and a first rounder it's a good trade. I know folks in Seattle who think they can fix him. I've said this before. It's the girlfriend issue of "I can fix Percy." Good luck with that. He will never be happy."
In my opinion the Vikings did everything to appease Harvin and were fairly patient throughout the entire migraine issues and even worked with him to "fix" it.

Not to mention he's not even the best player on the Vikings. No brainer of a trade for them and they did good with what they got in return. I would expect Steve Breaston to sign in Minnesota as well as Jennings.

How about Anquan Boldin to the Vikes? The Ravens are now trying to trade him but if they can't obviously he'll be released.

Great trade for the 49ers. Even if they only keep him the one year it's worth it.

Vikings just got a bunch of picks from Seattle, then try and low ball the Ravens by offering a 7th rounder while the 49ers beat em with only a 6th. Whoops.

Holy hyperbowl Batman! This in no way makes Seattle the front runners for the Super Bowl.

They're 3rd in the NFC for me behind Green Bay & San Francisco. I'll also take New England and Denver over them

#Vikings will get 3rd-round pick for Percy Harvin in 2014, in addition to 1 and 7 this year, I'm told.
Wow, even better haul than I expected. And if Percy is healthy and happy, this move will make the Seattle offense extremely tough to defend. In my eyes, those are the two most balanced offenses in the NFC as of this moment. IF Green Bay gets a running game, then they will be in the same conversation.

I've seen several heads predict Seattle as the NFC representative in the next Super Bowl before this move. I don't think it is hyperbole. That's a great team if Russell Wilson continues to get better, and I think he will.

That Atlanta game still stings...hold them for 45 seconds at the end, and they go an play SF in SF...a team they had demolished 4 weeks earlier, in a meaningful game for both, 42-13...with the winner going to the SB.
But, a lot of factors. Wilson will only get better, but Lynch has to keep his end up and the receivers have to play the way did...will be interesting to see the opponents around the league play the read option now.
Injuries as we all know are the great equalizer.
Defense has to get better getting to the QB (I am guessing UFA help is on the way), and everyone on the team has to play as well or better then they did last year and not let success last year make them complacent.
Fingers crossed that it all falls into place.
Regardless, I am guessing the SF and SEA games will be some of the first to go primtetime...stark change compared to a couple years ago when Seattle won the division at 7-9.
