Certainly nothing like last year....mind you in last years draft the Chiefs are 100% keeping that pick and Alex Smith is still on the 49'ers.

If it took a 4th or 5th rounder I would be fine with the Lions doing it and taking Joeckl. I think he is the guy they really need and they can get a DE in the 2nd or 3rd round or rely on Suh and Fairley who are both great DT's (supposedly) at getting pressure.
I am sure they will stay at 5 and take a DE to me it seems like all the top DE's have questions/don't fit into the 4-3.

I would guess KC still takes Joeckel, plays him at RT for next season, sign Albert to the one-year franchise number, and then either slide Joeckel over to LT in 2014, or if Albert comes back healthy and plays well you have a pretty good problem to have with two high quality tackles. You can either sign Albert long-term and trade one, or keep Joeckel and play him at RT until you dump Albert, because his rookie deal will be cheap.

I haven't followed the Chiefs enough but why would that mean Fisher is the pick and not Joeckl?

Andy Reid values athletic offensive lineman. Eric Fisher is the most athletic offensive tackle in the draft.

Can't wait to see Andy managing the Chiefs' draft board. They're going to be begging for the days of Pioli in a couple of years.
Here are your list of Andy's first round picks since he was given full control in Philly:
Jerome McDougle
Shawn Andrews
Mike Patterson
Brodrick Bunkley
Traded down to take Kevin Kolb in the second
Traded down for Trevor Laws
Jeremy Maclin
Brandon Graham
Danny Watkins
That's one very solid starter (Patterson), two guys who were/are giant question marks (Maclin, Bunkley), one guy who might finally turn into a starter but has been a bust up until this point (Graham), and five sure-fire busts.

Surprised no one has Richard Sherman ripping on Skip Bayless posted yet.

^One blowhard ripping on another really isn't news. I quite like Sherman as a player but he talks worse than a 14-year old Jr. High School Girl.
Also, James Harrison may be cut by the Steelers shortly according to a couple reports.

Being reported that Indy will be going hard after Ravens' linebacker Paul Kruger in free agency. Would love that signing. Would help the Colts out a lot. A ton of other teams including the Browns are after him as well.

Won't be surprised if Pagano makes a run at both Ellerbe and Kruger, though if the Ravens are releasing Boldin I gotta imagine thats to keep Ellerbe.

LOL. This is Anquan Boldin stuff is really entertaining
Quote:
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin, who played a big role in Baltimore's run to its second Super Bowl title this decade, tells ESPN's Adam Schefter that the Ravens have not asked him to restructure his contract.
Boldin said on Saturday that Baltimore might have to do a restructuring of some sort, but to this point and his knowledge, the Ravens have not.
As for his future, Boldin told Schefter that he would speak with his family before he makes any decisions, but as far as he is concerned and knows, he is planning to play for Baltimore next season under the terms of his current contract.

So in addition to Kruger, OG Louis Vasquez of the Chargers is the other player that the Colts are really going after. Would be awesome if they could land both. I wonder how many teams are after Avril?

Seahawks just became the front runners for the Super Bowl. A first rounder in a mediocre draft for one of the most explosive players in the game. Wow, good for the Seahawks.

He was traded because he's demanding Calvin Johnson money, so good luck with that Seattle.

Gonna be really fun when Wilson, Sherman, Chancellor, Browner want new contracts. Sherman is going to want Revis money

1st, 7th and mid round 2014 pick. Not a huge price to pay, all things considered the way Seattle does transactions.
Playing SF twice a year, have to up the ante in the division.
Seattle has a ton of cap space, so no issue there. Ditch Flynn if they want even more.
The issue could be Harvin's baggage. Thanks to R. Wilson last year, each of the Seattle receivers had good years, and were good players. Miller the TE as well, and Rice did the most.
With a lot of quality to pass around to, and Wilson still going to be running the read option, Harvin, even as a #1 will have to wait his turn for the ball.
It was the biggest need for the team on offense, but as I said, last year they did a lot more then expected at the WR position, so hope it doesn't shake that balance either.
Next up, the biggest need in my opinion, getting a better rush on the QB to help Clemons and Irving. Thus some DE or DT help (UFA R. Seymour reunite with Cable?), and a linebacker to replace Hill, who's in legal trouble again. (UFA James Harrison from PIT)?
