Most of Feaster's proudest moments have been covered, but I think the whole "bloggers in their underwear in the basement" bash deserves some mention. Kind of a ridiculous statement to make when these same types of bloggers in baseball 15 years ago (on baseball prospectus, etc.) are now littered through-out MLB front offices. The same might not hold true for hockey in the future, but it's just typical Feaster arrogance to think that only connected hockey "guys" know anything about the game.

Also considering it was a 'blogger,' potentially in a basement, who exposed this whole thing by bothering to make a couple of phone calls.

Feaster was essentially a blogger himself before Calgary came calling. Don't want to think of him in his underwear though.

Forgot about the waiver wire demotion of Conroy, basically shoving Conroy out the door and forcing him to retire right away.

Caught everyone, Iginla, and Conroy included, totally off guard at the time.

Instead of giving Conroy the benefit that he'd earned with this organization, and letting him know behind closed doors that it was coming in advance, so maybe Conroy could just retire on his own terms, Feaster sprung it on the team one day out of the blue...and from the immediate reaction of the team it clearly wasn't liked/anticipated. Some tact would've been a bit more proper.

Sure, the Flames hired him afterwards, but I think some more tact around letting the guy retire on his terms rather then a waiver wire clearance would've been more appropriate...this wasn't Ales Kotalik.

Feasted is really good at Russian Roulette.

Keeps dodging his own bullets but how long can his luck last?

"We think Ryan O'Reilly is a franchise player"

That literally made me laugh out loud.

Almost got Richards. Almost got O'Reilly. It's beginning to look a lot like Edmonton.

We should put in a pool to see what questionable thing he says/does next.

Quite frankly, who gives a damn.

The Oilers have had more recent success than the Flames (more playoff round victories since the 04/05 lockout), and they also have a lot of young talent.

The Flames are irrelevant year in and year out and all I see are moves continuing to be made that will keep them there. Feaster throwing around terms like intellectual honesty, the answers are in the dressing room and this organization's continued unfounded arrogance has broken the ice for me.

Enough of this garbage about how "we stepped up to plate and went for the home run" rubbish he's spewing. It's more embarrassing than the Vanek/Penner/Heatley/Jagr stuff that Edmonton put it's fans through.

This is the NHL! You don't get points for effort off the ice. Feaster seems to love talking about his failures. "OH geez, Richards ya know" "Oh well golly, O'Reilly could've been ours, we interpreted the rule differently fellas".

I'm tired of the gums flapping away while the losses pile up.

Despite my posts in the ROR thread. I actually like Feaster and the moves he made.
He made this team younger, faster, more skilled.
He didnt have much to work with when he came on board. Our cupboard was empty and our only assets are Iggy and Kipper and Gio
JayBo's contract is an anchor so despite the fact we can trade him, we prob would not get much return.

Hes done well with what he was given (not much)
You can't make magic out of nothing so I knew it would take a while.

What I don't like is ownership pressuring him to stay in win now mode when he should clearly be rebuilding. Thats the biggest issue with this team not Feaseter.

The ROR debacle was the 1st time where I questioned his competency.

Nothing will change until the owners decide they care more about putting a good team on the ice instead of making money. You need only ask yourself how many good years we've had in the last 23 years - 2? 3? That tells you all you need to know about the Calgary flames, sadly

Why do people keep saying this?

The Flames are only marginally profitable.

Each round of the playoffs would generate more profit than what they earn in an entire regular season. So if they are only profit-oriented, they would want to have as many playoff appearances, and as many rounds each time, as possible.

Having a mediocre team does not generate profits.

Also, they would be more profitable with this average team if they didn't spend to the cap.

So the 'they only care about making money' argument has no validity whatsoever.

(That does not suggest that there aren't problems, however)
