As long as it matches what's on the label from an analysis point of view, who cares.

Also: Peroni is my beer of choice, if I were to drink beer.

I think we can all agree that Budweiser, regardless of your stance on micro-brews, homebrews or mega-brews, is simply terrible.

I prefer the stuff I put into my mouth a) not taste like crap b) be what it says it is.

If not wanting to drink a crappy product makes me a beer snob, then I'm a beer snob!

Were you blindfolded while in Europe? The stuff is everywhere.

Not liking the swill that is cheap domestic beer makes you a beer snob?

I'll drink anything that at least tastes like a beer should. Even Corona is 1000000000 X better then bud. It has actual flavor.

Last time I was in Europe I spent time in Poland, Nice and Monaco. Didn't see it and I was looking pretty hard when I was in France cause all they had was Heineken and french beer every where and niether are particularly great.

No judging other people that may enjoy "bottom shelf domestic"... or whatever you called it, makes you a beer snob. Pretty cut and dry.

I don't judge the people themselves, I just can't believe that people geniunely enjoy it. I may judge you if you drink Lucky or Boxer. That's pretty high school.

I also drink Bud. Great easy drinking beer, high proportion of rice, clean tasting for back-to-back-to-back boozin. I don't need a yeasty microbrew with hints of eldberry and belt-leather when I am looking to drink a 6 pack. I appreciate craft brews, hate some mainstream beers (lookin' at you Canadian) and believe I can taste the difference between Coors Light and Bud Light.

Anyway, I would wager this "watering down" is a miniscule amount, and the former employees are looking for a big payday.

It is pretty unbelievable how much Beer companies take home on an annual basis. I can't believe they would stoop this low for a couple of extra dollars.

The fact that they cheaped out on their beer commercial to feed us Jim Hughson calling Lando and Shenko scoring a big goal really tells you that pinching pennies is the rage with Budweiser.

I agree. I like my trads, red stripes, newcastle.. and love trying new beer. However Bud is easy to count and good in back to back situations. I honestly prefer it to Keiths. Canadian is what makes foreigners think we have the worst beer imaginable.

There are plenty of micros that compete with Stiegl and Lech. They're both pretty simple, generic lagers. Both great beers of their styles but hardly unique.

Sorry, I should have clarified that I meant that I haven't tried any of those fancy flavoured craft brews that compare to Stiegl or Lech. I don't usually try a regular lager when I try craft brews.

WR's Velvet Fog would be my 3rd favorite beer when it's on tap. Crap from a bottle.

wasn't a big bud fan, but my father-in-law doesn't drink anything else, so have grown to tolerate it.

this is a brutal story. Hope they get hit hard, consumer should be able to trust the labels on a product.

If it's fancy and flavoured it's probably not a true lager. Lagers in general are going to be fairly similar, although the small differences can have a big impact.

I've been drinking a lot of stuff from smaller breweries, Magic Hat #9 is a favorite, Racer 5, Mothers Milk Stout, Dogfish Head 90, Ommegang Rare Vos and La Fin Du Monde are probably my recent favorites. There tends to be a pretty good amount of PBR around the apartment, largely because it's cheap and comes in 12 packs at the grocery store nearby, and I find it to be a perfectly fine drinking beer.

That stuff is like the Budweiser of Europe. If you dont know what else you want to drink, thats what you get.

Back to the story, here's a story from NPR about them getting an independent test done, and coming out at full strength, and also talking about the adding of the water in the brewing process.

The plaintiff still thinks they have a case.
