I really liked that blondie farm girl unplugged at the end though. Was waiting for Maggie and Herschel to jump in, and Glenn to find a pack of marshmallows though....

I know Merle is a psycho and all, but I can't help but notice how useful he is. Military training, tough SOB, does the dirty work.

Whether they want to admit it or not, with the army the Governor has/is training Merle is a great asset.

Looks like in the next episode they get away from the Prison/Woodbury build up as Rick takes Michonne and his son on a little trek. I like it, usually those episodes have plenty of zombie killing action, and just action, period.

But the way Rick burned off Tyreese and his foursome, one could argue that he has every motivation to join up with the Governor. He and his group were just looking for a safe haven, and Rick et al ran them off. I hope something happens and he realizes what a nutball the Gov is and ends up joining Rick's group after all.

Kind of rotten that Rick now has Merle and Michonne while the Governor has Tyreese. Not sure Rick got the best of that deal.

And it may be just my misunderstanding, but are Rick, Michonne and Carl not heading to Woodbury right now?

I would say they are just going to look for weapons. I would think that Rick wouldn't being Carl along to attack Woodbury.

Thought it was a pretty decent set-up episode getting us ready for some more heavy action about to take place in the next couple shows.

And yeah Beth is totally supposed to be about 4yrs older than Carl so them hooking up in the future is possible, I guess. Still kinda weird to think of tho....

I liked that they showed a different side to Merle when he was talking to Herschel, it almost makes you think he could be transformed like Darryl was into someone useful to the group (which is about when they should kill him off).

The whole Andrea thing is just soooooo aggravating! She confronts the group at the prison and learns that the Governor has continued to outright lie to her, that the prison folks didn't provoke an attack and yet she still defends him and seems to think he'd be open to a truce between the 2 groups. And then just when you think she might redeem herself by following Carol's advice, she chickens out....*argh*

As for Tyreese & his group showing up in time to get shepherded to Woodbury by Milton....*gnashing teeth* They might have thought Rick was chasing them off but I hope they learn better and get back where they belong sooner than later (leave it to Lorie to ruin things even from beyond the grave).

My prediction is Tyrese's group will change allegiance at just the right time to get Karl out of a jam. They won't forget who saved their asses in the tombs.

Andrea needs to stab the governor's other eye, then take a bullet to the head.

I'm wondering if Tyrese's group was sent to Woodbury as a plant to show that they were willing to do anything to be part of Rick's group.

I'll have to go back and re-watch some of the previous episodes to see if I can determine what exactly would have happened to them after Rick went crazy on them. I can't recall if Hershel told them it was ok to stay or not.

edit: ahh, after watching the behind the scenes of 309 I think I'm way off. Too bad as that would have been interesting to see.

I agree. I've found her character annoying ever since her sister died in season two. Nice body though.
