I don't understand why MacDonald doesn't get some pads and a new mask...even when Kipper returns will he not be our permanent back-up?

I honestly don't get it, I think Irving is every bit as good as Macdonald. I think both goalies are fine but most importantly that goaltending wasn't really ever our main problem.
