I would love to see episode 7 be dark, like Blade Runner dark. This will never happen, too many kids wouldn't see it then.

I would love to see the illegal New Republic fall and the insurgents bought to justice and executed by the rightful Empire.

I'm still unsure what was illegal about the Empire, most of the citizens were happy to see the end of the corrupt old republic and the end of the ineffectual senate. In fact the people were probably behind the outlawing of the traitorous Jedi Order who was behind the Clone War in the first place in league with a former Jedi in Count Dooku.

The Rebellion was nothing more then a terrorist group lead by traitor like the Organa family who were not only hiding their betrayal behind their so called mercy missions but had turned Alderaan into a armed rebel camp and center for insurgent activities.

Emperor Palpatine tried to bring order and justice to a chaotic galaxy, and Darth Vader was a hero to the people as he pursued the Jedi and bought them to justice.

Its funny, the Rebellion murdered probably millions of innocent subcontractors and civilians and even military members on both Death Stars. They assassinated the rightful democratically appointed leader for life (remember he was appointed by the senate), they destroyed Imperial Property and murder leaders. On top of that their wreckless actions caused a environmental catastrophe on Endor that will probably cause the destruction of that eco-system.

We know that propaganda is written by the victors but Luke Skywalker, former Princess Leia, scum criminal Han Solo and Chewbacca and the slaver Lando Calrissian are not heros

I thought the Yoda fight scenes were awesome. We know he is supposed to be the master Jedi but he's old and tired in the original, seeing him in action was one of the better parts of the prequels.

I guess if your a stickler hes only about 40 years younger so maybe he shouldn't have been so spry, but what the hell, it was better than Jar Jar!

McGregor was my favourite part of the prequels. I think he did a great job portraying a young Obi Wan.

How soon people forget, Yoda had a fight scene in Empire Strikes Back.

There were two performances that stood out because they were so good and two because they were so bad.

Ewan McGregor was brilliant as Obi-Wan, he did a ton of work studying AG and it showed. He was the very image of what we thought a young Ben Kenobi was like.

Ian Mcdarmid as Palpatine, he was brilliant as the kindly Senator and later Supreme Chancellor. I believe that ROTS could have been an hour longer with a lot more seduction of Anakin and would have been better, but throughout PM to AOTC and especially ROTS he was awesome. Especially his telling of the story of Darth Plagueis the wise which was memorizing.

Natalie Portman was terrible, she was ok in Phantom Menace but her performance got worse through the prequels, part of it was script, part of it was she was miscast in the role.

Hayden was incredibly wooden, there's no doubt he tried, he excelled in the light saber scenes and anything requiring athleticism, but outside of one movie HC just isn't very good in any role that requires dramatic readings. He did look like what everyone thought Anakin Skywalker should look like.

Sequel to likely focus on the Solo and Skywalker kids.

I really hope they age the kids, though. I don't know if I can sit through more whining brats after the prequels.

Portman and Christensen whined their way through 3 movies.

Every single line was a whine. It was unbearable.

The Emperor called it the Death Star. Thats how he viewed it.

Also, when elected officials consolidate power and declare themselves 'Emperor' thats usually a sign that you're going to have a bad time. Just ask Ceasar and Napoleon.

Hey some eggs were broken sadly, but keeping a illegal rebellion from flairing throughout the galaxy was dangerous work.

Rebels were given aid and comfort on Alderaan (Dark Lord rising)

Sure a lot of eggs were broken when Alderaan was blown away, but this was a galaxy that had just emerged from a civil war and Alderaan was one of the declared Axis of evil with Kassyik (sp?) and Fulucea (Dark Lord).

It wouldn't have had the same effect if it was called the ball of love. Fear, fear of this battlestation will keep the outlying systems in line, that was the Tarkin Doctrine, in a dangerous galaxy sometimes you need to intimidate to keep things in line. The executive order to destroy Alderaan was completely legal.

His position as Emperor for life was ratified by the democratically elected senate. They overwhelmingly supported his ascension to that role twice, first with the emergency powers granted to him during the Clone War crisis, then after the Jedi Rebellion during his speech tot he Senate disclosing the illegal and undemocratic actions of the Jedi including a failed attempt to assassinate him.

"I will make it legal" The Phantom Meance by the unknown Lord Sideous, who has never been officially linked to Emperor Palpatine, a democratically elected Supreme Chancellor.

You're trying way too hard here haha. How about those 6 year old Jedi they murdered? Or Luke's Aunt and Uncle? Or those Jawas and their Sandcrawler?
