Lets keep in mind that although Street is turning 26 in 5 days, he was a college player who is only in his third year as a pro and has put up decent numbers in the AHL.

I don't mind this. I would say with the way he is playing in the A, that he deserves this.

Here's his stats page. He played a year in Salmon Arm with Chucko and 4 years with U of Wisconsin. He's the leading scorer in Abbotsford.http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p....php?pid=76555 |

Go get me Ben. Your chance to shine.

I hope they put Street on the 3rd line with Stempniak and Cammalleri. He is much better suited for an offensive role than a 4th line role but is adept defensively. He can also win draws which could help that line if that skill translates to the NHL level.

If he is good on face-offs and generally responsible, then that is all I need to hear. Perfect for the 4th line.
I look forward to seeing Cervenka get more ice-time out of this.

If Cammi comes back i would think he goes back to top line. Glencross-Street- Stempniak is my guess. They might even put Jones up to that line and Street on the fourth, but i hope not. The one thing i do know, is that i don't want to see Comeau on the top 9 .

That works too, I just think Street much better suited for a semi-offensive role than Jones.

Street recall on flames site, so even though it was official based on all the other sources, this finalizes it

I hope that if Cammy is back he stays with Iggy and Tanguay. Those three will be awesome together once they get chemistry going IMO.

Not only that but I like Glencross' game much better when he was off that line. He gets too damn fancy playing with Iggy and Tanguay. He's more grinding and north/south on the Stempniak line.

sooo... if Cammalleri's out too still...
 Glencross - Tanguay - Iginla
 Hudler - Stajan - Cervenka
 Comeau - Street - Stempniak
 Begin - Jones - Jackman

While our centres are still meh, the top 2 lines still look dangerous and with the excitement of a first call up street could do something with that third line... If him and stempniak work together and let comeau be a decoy

Backlund out 4-6 weeks. Damn! He was really coming on this season. I hate injuries.
I remember him suffering a similar injury last year and was out for near enough the same time?

I am devestated on the news of Backlund. Not that i would want any flame hurt, but i rather it would be Sven or Cammi out for 4-6 weeks than Backlund.
*** players chosen from injury list. If not Comeau would be first on my list.
