At least in MMM and MFM, everyone makes themselves useful. Not useful in any way that I'm interested in experiencing, but useful nonetheless.

FMF can be useful too. i.e. Oral triangle. Also, if the ladies are attractive a little break while they are underway can help bring you back to form.

Fanboys of anything are annoying, totally agree.. but if we're saying "there is no right answer" that's boring and wrong.
I love talking about mobile technology, as much as I do discussing the Flames really. When a new piece of tech comes along I'm all over it and love going back-and-forth with someone talking about it. That isn't limited to Android or Apple phones either. Like pylon mentioned the Windows phones interest me greatly. My father is finally looking to upgrade from this. My dad is the type of guy who isn't into cell phones at all and flat out refused two Blackberrys from work because he "was retiring in 11 months!". I dunno if he wants to delve into smart phones (he got my mom an iPhone, she loves it) but he's been steering towards the one pylon mentioned.
They really enjoy the new UI with their windows 9 laptop so it might be a smoother transition for them.
I ranted, I'll get back. I love talking about this stuff and staying informed, it's not just about which suits someone best.. cause that's boring and kills discussion. I picked up another Google Nexus device because I love those products right now but I looked at the Windows stuff.. and even held out to see what the new Blackberrys were like before going this route again.

I'll agree with that yup, pretty much what I was getting at. I even -- a guy who can't stand Apple -- always watched his "Apple Events" because of how charismatic he was. Fabulous speaker.

Fanin80 is one of the main reasons I'm getting a S3. I hate Apple a little bit more after reading on of his posts.

Based on this thread, it would seem that hating Apple, Apple fans, and Steve Jobs seems to be a VERY, VERY popular opinion.

The iPad is a terrible work tablet. It's awesome for media, airplay, seamlessness with your iTunes content, but it's garbage as a work tool. The Samsung galaxy is far superior for work productivity, but not nearly as slick as the iPad and the touchscreen is vastly inferior (less responsive).

Sorry, but Thorsten Heins is a way better, and far more credible, presenter than Jobs ever was. I never miss his releases for Blackberry.

Don't like that? Then don't apply for citizenship in your new country. Remain a landed immigrant and keep your original citizenship.

Citizenship should be abolished. I should be free to live in whatever country I see fits my needs the best.

The fanboy thing is so tired. Just because you like a product, doesn't make you a 'fanboy'. At the end of the day, the crappiest smart phone on the market today, would seem like sorcery 10 years ago, and we would be talking about it like it was the greatest thing ever.
I have a macbook air and my iPhone sitting on my desk syncing at work the other day. And some moron I work with who may very well be reading this, comes in my office and "Holy Apple fanboy!" and starts giving me a 10 minute unsolicited lecture about Android specs, Macbook specs, over priced Apple products, SSD specs, the corrupt Apple locked OS....blah blah blah. I. Do. Not. Care. What. You. Think. Go. Away. Period.
All I said was "And you are calling me the fanboy?".
I think what separates a loyal customer/non-fanboy, from a fanboy is this.
Non fanboy: Buys the product he likes, and doesn't care what you or anyone else thinks. Will tell you why he likes it, but at the same time doesn't care what you bought.
Fanboy: Buys the product he likes, and goes out of his way to tell you what a piece of crap your competing device is. Will go as far to insult you on a personal level to drive home his point. Acts as if your buying decision was made with his/her own money. In many cases, cannot afford and does not even own the device he defends or hates on.
It is even worse when fanboyism is on the corporate level. Mac vs. PC ads. and the "Hey Samsung S3 owners, lets go berate and insult the ######ed people that stand in line for an Apple iPhone commercials." Sell me your product on it's merits, not the deficiencies in the competitions.

Getting excited for, or even watching a phone/tablet/ walkie talkie release is stupid. Same thing goes for people that wait in line for hours or days or whatever. Stupid.
