I can't stand the faux-urban neighbourhoods in Calgary. Walking down the street in Kensington makes me want to blow my brains out. Literally nothing in any of those areas appeals to me. Only place in the innercity worth living is the Beltline and I still couldn't do it.

I don't want to turn this into music thing, but in my opinion The Beatles are also very overrated when it comes to being "influential". I also blame them for starting what evolved into teen marketing and boy band crap.


Not that they didn't have some good music and weren't talented, but they seem kind of hollow compared to some of the other bands at the time that were pushing the limits as much or more (The Kinks, Donovan and Yardbirds come to mind). They just didn't have the marketing, production and appeal to young ladies that the Beatles had.

The whole attitude surrounding those areas is so fake. There are plenty of examples of this. For example the attitude towards big chain stores in these communities is ridiculous. It's artificially imposed.

If you go to NYC or even the old districs of European cities do you think they have the same attitude? That everything should be mom & pop? Not at all. You see all types of conglomerates occupying the first floor of urban apartments. Only in places that didn't naturally develop into "urban" neighbourhoods do you see this type of attitude.

It's all fake. It's planned. It's a planned hipster HQ.

I mean if you really want that lifestyle thats great, but I'm of the unpopular opinion that I can't stand being surrounded by that type of Pretentious enviroment.

I hate classic rock (70s/80s etc). I think it was all terrible, repetitive and boring.

That being said, I don't judge people based on the music they like and I think people who do are self-righteous pricks. Your opinion isn't better than mine.

I think the treaty system in Canada should be abolished. (Don't ask me of I've thought about the ramifications because I haven't)

Most women who follow sports need to take time to educate themselves because they sound stupid. (This is coming from a woman and doesn't apply to most female posters on this board. Also this opinion is probably only unpopular among women. )

I prefer to live in the suburbs.
