I agree , I think every generation goes through a stupid / ######ed stage when they are young. I know me and my friends did a lot of dumb things as teens, as did our parents, the same with the kids of this generation.
But when it comes to lazy/spoiled I think there is no doubt this generation is lazier and more spoiled than the last.... just as ours was compared to our parents and grandparent's era, with technology its unavoidable.

Unless the job is somewhat dangerous, requires concentration for safety or involves sharp moving parts.
Now that my friends is an unpopular opinion especially considering that this board is filled with a bunch of you lazy pot smoking young people with your crank and crystal smack and all of that stuff.
Oh and young people suck

Except tips do not equate to bonuses.
At most serving jobs I've worked tips equate to about half your income. What % of your income is your bonus?
If somebody doesn't tip you, you still have to tip out the bartender, hostess and kitchen/house so you actually lose money on that table. If somebody tips 5% I basically make zero money on the table as I have to tip out 5% to others.
Tips are part of a servers income. I can understand that people don't like the system. But most people wouldn't work minimum wage to serve without the tips so the restaurant would have to increase prices on food/drinks if the tipping system wasn't in place.
So yeah.

I have both Flames and Stampeders tickets. Over the last 6-7 years I have been far more excited to see the next Stampeders game as opposed to the Flames. It isn't even in the same ball park.
I also lived in Denver for 4 years and was lucky enought to have a friend with Bronco season tickets and got to go to 3-4 games every year. Other than the crazy number of people at Bronco games, there was nothing else about the experience that was more exciting than a Stampeders game.

Your comments reminded me of something a waitress said to me in Arizona a few years back: "What's the difference between a Snowbird and a canoe?' "A canoe tips."

In the end, I still love Alice the best I think.

I'd put Facelift and Badmotorfinger ahead of any albums Nirvana put out.

In my restaurant industry days, tips accounted for about 60-65% of my income.

I got a few more, I hope they haven't been mentioned yet...
I can't stand dogs at all. I'd rather have a cat who can pretty much take of itself, and will leave me alone most of the day instead of a stupid dog slobbering all over me and being a nuisance 24/7.
After the NHL and NFL the third best TV sport is poker (at least before Black Tuesday killed it). I've spent hundreds if not thousands of hours watching poker, and I never got bored of it.
My favorite band of all time is Joy Division; I could listen to them all day if I had to.

The term "this is making baby Jesus cry" was first used after watching Myers and Tia Carriere speak Cantonese in Wayne's World.

Not necessarily "unpopular" though in certain localities it is illegal even to mention it publicly.

^ WTF?
I don't think you know what 'status quo' means.
I don't think the 'status quo' has a dick, or is even capable of having a dick.
I think your post was a really crappy attempt to get 'thanks'.
I think that you're entitled to your dick sucking opinion.

If there were drug tests at my job half the people would be fired. When I first started at the PO there were 3 guys we had to "rescue" on a daily basis because they would be sitting at a bar, passed out in the mail truck, or just sitting around. Yet several other guys (and 2 women) drank on their respective routes and were some of the
fastest, most accurate carriers.
Now every morning at the time clock there are 3 carriers (2 are female) whose breath is so boozy you kinda wonder how they make it. Yet not one of them has had an accident or any kind of work performance issue. 2 hve been here for 32 years, the other for 28 years.
So I wonder if some people just function better when they're on something.

I'm assuming that they're drinking and driving then? If that's the case, you're a total jerk to allow that to keep happening, if I'm mistaken and misread your post sorry.
