RHCP as an add on is basically "Who's the biggest band we can get on short notice who will probably play?". I saw them in 06 with Frusciante and while it was a pretty good show, it doesn't rank in my top 5, 10 or 20 for that matter. Getting QOTSA would have been nice for Coachella, thankfully I'm gonna get to see them (with Dave Grohl drumming!) at Download Festival in June. Cannot wait for that.

Nothing has been confirmed but it's been heavily rumoured and the Download people themselves have hinted at it. I'd imagine for just a few festivals Dave will play (and god willing a Nick Oliveri and Mark Lanegan appearance as well)

Sold out in 17 minutes. Got as far as entering my credit card number, hit purchase and the site crashed. Bloody hell.

Same for me. Had an account created ahead of time with my credit card info and everything. Got to the page where they asked me to enter a different shipping address and the site crashed. Disappointed... what a piece of crap website!

Frontgate is the worst. As much as I hate Ticketmaster, they at least have the servers to handle this many people trying to get tickets. This happens EVERY YEAR with Frontgate.

Weird... it suddenly let me in and allowed me to buy tickets to weekend 1 just now. I have no idea how that happened, but I am not going to ask questions!

God, what a stressful time getting tickets today. I'm on at 11am today, I get through the standby page and everything is going smoothly then BAM! Card declined. I tried once more, still declined so I called my bank and they tell me that they're having issues processing payments made on Visas last night. Well awesome, that really screws me over for getting tickets. I got the guy to push my payment through so I could try and get tickets (it's around 11:45 by now) and I go back on Frontgate only to find out that it thinks there aren't any events taking place. Luckily my friend texted and asked if I got tickets, and when I told her I didn't she got them for me. So in the end, I guess it all worked out. Weekend 2 bound!

Haha, I'll hold you to it! Glad it ended up working out for you as well. I was pretty shocked when it did for me.

What a bizzare system. Our group managed to get 3 more tickets after I picked up mine.

So what's everyones travel plans? Our group of 10 is flying into Phoneix on the Thursday and driving out. I am done with LAX and the god awful traffic in Los Angeles. So stressful.

Driving straight through from Calgary again this year. I'm hoping to have 3 or 4 people in my car this year, last year only 2 of us drove down and that was awful. Road trips are fun!
