I like that undercover brother champions against double standards in this thread, and makes rape jokes in the other one.

Ummmm....yes, that is illegal, and it's rape. Let's put out an extreme example: If you had a wife and kids and your extremely unattractive boss forced you to have sex with her or you'd be fired, you wouldn't consider that rape?

I wouldn't do it and immediately report her to her superior and get her fired. At the end she didn't "rape" me. Same thing these under-age boys could have done if they really didn't want to nail their teacher.

I'm not sure if you are serious or not.
Are you in the camp that states if a female is raped the body knows and shuts off for potential pregnancies?

It would still be considered an assault, even if she was unsuccessful in her attempts. Your argument is also based on the assumption that men would always be willing/able to say no in that situation.

He is also suggesting that a minor has the same mental capabilities as an adult. Further he has pushed the age issue to 16-17. The child in the story is 14 yrs old.

No definitely not. That's ignorant.

I would think it would fall under sexual harassment rather than assault. Even if technically it would still be considered assault, I doubt any judge in the world will see it that way.
Yes my argument is based on the ability to say no in that situation. I fail to see how a woman can make me have sex with her if I didn't want to. I've had some pretty nasty chicks throw themselves on me while I was intoxicated and was able to shoot them down fairly easily. I didn't have sex with them and then cry in the corner 20 minutes later because I got raped.

I was in Grade 10 at 14. I think most guys in Grade 10 are perfectly capable of differentiating whether or not they'd like to bang their teacher.
Also, isn't the age of consent for sex 14? I don't want to google it at work.

Judges have to start becoming gender blind when it comes to dealing with this.
A woman teacher molesting a young man is probably going to cause the same kind of future mental health issues as an older man on a younger woman.

really? if i got to bone a teacher at the age of 14, i would have been pretty stoked i think. i know there are plenty of cases of young girls with mental issues after reverse roles like this, and pre-pubecent boys as well. but are there any actual cases documented of boys past puberty who have had sex with an adult going through mental trauma?

Ah yes, 14 yr olds, have the ability to make decisions of that scale. The list of grown men that have made poor sexual related decision is miles and miles long......

But it's still a decision at the end of the day.
I know when I was 14 I had a thing for my English and my Health Studies teacher. If I got to nail them it would have probably been the highlight of my life and would have turned me into a better human being. I definitely wouldn't have regretted it now as an adult.

So to be clear.
14 yr old male student, having sex with an adult female teacher = ok
14 yr old female student, having sex with an adult male teacher = not ok

Depending on the situation, yes.
Edit: not saying there shouldn't be professional disciplining handed out out to the teacher.
