I am really trying to temper my expectations for this kid but I am having a really hard time not being convinced he is a future star. He seems to have that drive and motivation to go along with skill that will trump his size disadvantage.

Okay, so I am clueless when it comes to this stuff usually. Is NBC Sports Network available through Telus TV? If not what is the link to their legal stream? I am coming up with blanks on my search.
haha, no way. I was just watching the box score and I thought that BU might have gotten under his skin. 3 minors, slashing, high-sticking, and checking from behind. Did you listen/watch?

Great news and congrats for being player of the month! This guy is building up a strong following with these kinds of accomplishments!
If there was an NHL season - is there any way Gaudreau could get called up for a few games? As in, should his team's season end before the Flames' season ends, do legalities/contracting issues allow for this to happen?

Well he would then kill any eligibility that he would have with BC so besides the fact the Flames would be unlikely to need/want to call him up it would seem doubtful that he would throw away his NCAA eligibility for a late season call-up for a game or two.

That sounds fantastic for his development... take a fledgling star that is more or less killing it and bump him all the way up to top teir professional hockey. How about we let him finish up with BC then talk about jumping to the Flames.

Take it easy pal, who raised you, where did you get your personality? You come across as very disrespectful, regardless of your intentions.
Anyway, so that would end his NCAA eligibility..ah..thats what I was looking for. I can't wait to see this kid in a Flames jersey, hopefully he completes his career at BC and doesn't pull a you know what/who.

If that comes across as very disrespectful then I wonder what you think of the rest of the forum. I am honestly sorry if a bit of sarcasm made you question not only myself as a person, but my parents and my upbringing. Sorry I hurt your feelings.
But back on topic, I don't think he can pull a Schultz. I thought it was because Justin was supposed to play in the OHL (?) but opted to play college. I thought that was more or less the loophole. Johnny committed to BC from the get go, did he not.
I freely admit to not knowing everything about the situation. Isn't Turner Elson the only Flames prospect capable of Schultzing?

the "loophole" is if a player players a season in the USHL or some other lower junior league after being drafted but before going the college route.
It is not so much a loophole as it is a rule that allows the player to become an unsigned UFA after 4 years after being drafted like every other player that goes to college after being drafted.
