Hmm, well the SEC doesn't even have one team in the top 5 NFL producing schools ever (Notre Dame is in there of course), and interestingly its only top 10 team is Tennessee. Last year the Big Ten produced a whopping 1 less NFL draft pick than the SEC. Are you saying they're equal? I'm sure not. The SEC is great, and obviously the best conference at the top, but the bottom is weak and the out of conference schedules are usually laughable.
Say what you will about Notre Dame, but at the start of the season nobody thought they would go undefeated. They earned their way here and played a tougher schedule than Alabama. Stanford and Oklahoma are at least as good for wins as LSU and Georgia, Bama's best wins. These teams are pretty close, but I think Notre Dame's defense is just that much better. Plus, obviously only Jesus's team can bring down the SEC. That missed FG by Pitt was proof of heaveanly decree that Notre Dame must win for Jesus.

The last 20 years, it's not close.

I didn't say for all time, but right now, it's clearly is the best conference.

I didn't say it wasn't. But acting like its some super God than cannot be tamed is simply laughable. Had Florida not coughed up its chance against Georgia and they played Alabama today, they would have won. That defense would have made Alabama look bad. I think Florida and Notre Dame have the best defenses in the country for sure, and can stop Alabama's run game from doing anything. Notre Dame was #1 against the run, and I think come January 7th they're going to want it a whole lot worse than Alabama. And I think Notre Dame's offense gets sold a little short, they can run the ball very well and they have some decent weapons in the passing game (especially Tyler Eifert). Should be a good game but I just can't go against God. Plus it would be perfect to see the #1 football team be the #1 graduating team and beat the conference of communications majors (who still don't even graduate)

Have you watched a Florida game? Their offence is terrible.
You're predicting a blowout, and I'm saying it's ridiculous.

I think blowout because its Notre Dame and Jesus will lead the way. Plus if the Alabama is going down its not gonna be in a close game. The games Saban tends to lose is when they fall behind big early and either rally and lose (like A&M) or get blown out (like South Carolina and Utah) so I just think if Notre Dame is gonna win it'll be more comfortable. I think they'll force a decent amount of turnovers, plus Alabama's offense is built for long drives, and Notre Dame has been incredible in the red zone this year. Obviously this will be the most anticipated title game in a while.

Congrats on you second top ten win this year, We still have four. By that I mean if you want to compare Bama sched vs ND and the offense they have played Florida by far has a much better resume than that of Alabama

So who did the big ten play in out of conference games this year?
Oh and Iowa, Indiana, Purdue, Ill, and Minnesota say hi... Don't act like the Big Ten is some great top to bottom conference.

Yeah it didn't look great but the simple fact is that they won, gave up 5 less points (as of last week) than bama and played 5 top ten teams this year....

Right, which is why using NFL draft picks as a basis for conference dominance is funny. If we're going there, lest we forget the biggest bust in sports history was delivered by the SEC, and outside Peyton and Eli the SEC has a very poor history of producing the most important position.
And the talk about how its unfair Georgia isn't going to the BCS...nope, sure not. When you allow 3 (3!!!!) consecutive 300 yard rushing performances against you (including that mega power Georgia Southern), and lose by 4 TDs at some point in the season, the Capital One bowl is where you belong.

LOL what does this even mean? All coaches either lose by a small margin or a large margin.
BTW Vegas thinks Bama big as the are -10 at the Wynn.
It seems pretty obvious that now and lately the SEC is miles better than everything else, and until we are proven otherwise, thinking that the SEC will get blown out of the BCS NC is pretty silly.

How does NIU get ranked anywhere near the top 20? They haven't played anyone good and barely beat some of them.

Do we know that or just the current projection? CBS still has them out.
If they are, then the BCS just can't win, the only reason they are in is because of all the sobbing done when Boise State was running the cupcake table and people whined about how they deserve a chance. To appease the whining they created the mid major rule. All those who were pro mid majors playing in top tier bowls should forced to watch that orange bowl in it's entirety if NIU is in it.

I just got a statue update on FB from the OU club of Colorado.
"Breaking News. Northern Illinois has been notified of a bid to the Orange Bowl. That knocks OU out of the BCS and it looks like OU is heading to the Cotton Bowl to play Georgia. (and this is where I point out that the Cotton Bowl should be played in the Cotton Bowl, not in that crappy TV watch party in Arlington....and again all thoughts an opinions here are NOT those of the University of Oklahoma or the University of Oklahoma athletic Department)"

Looks like UGA is going to the Capital One Bowl to roll over the Cornuskers http://blogs.ajc.com/uga-sports-blog...ital-one-bowl/
Which is interesting, I figured they'd send A&M there to have an old Big XII battle...but that battle will be at the Cotton Bowl with OU

And more BCS ridiculousness... Georgia got hosed bc they played in the SEC championship game and Florida didnt....
btw more on NIU and the embarrassment of them getting s BCS game. NIU lost to Iowa. The best team they played was Kent State, who lost to Kentucky by 33 points and it took NIU 2 overtimes to beat them. Kentucky. By 33. Add in a 5 loss Wisconsin team and the BCS is an even bigger joke this year than it usually is.

Yeah I thought Oklahoma got screwed. Its upsetting that when a team goes outside their conference to schedule a tough opponent and if they lose it hurts them more than if they would of just played an FCS team like every SEC school does to guarantee themselves a win. An 11-1 Sooner team would definitely be in a BCS bowl.
NIU doesn't deserve a BCS bowl spot over Oklahoma. Their SOS this year is a staggering 122 while the Sooners are 5 with their only losses coming to the #1 and #5 team in the country.
Lets be honest, outside of the NCG where it will probably be the most watched college game ever and the Fiesta could be interesting, which BCS bowl game are you looking forward too?

None... I dont think KSU has the firepower on offense to keep up with Oregon nor the defense to stop them.
