Oregon finally played a legit defense and it showed tonight. If it wasn't for turnovers Stanford wouldn't have even needed OT.

Beat the condoms and bring on Bama. The streak stops at 6. Lets send Manti out a champion.

Watching that Oregon game was hard. So many brutal plays by the offense. Like the QB running out of bounds 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage, why not throw it away?

This reminds me of last year, all Oklahoma State had to do to push Bama out of the NC game was not lose to a 6-6 team.

So ... two things.

First: your number 1 team in the nation, 11 games in ... the Notre Dame Fighting Irish /checks year on calendar
Happy for that team.

A Notre Dame vs. Alabama title game would be my own personal hell.

Notre Dame - Alabama is actually probably the best matchup out there. Sure would be a much better game than watching Florida - Georgia/Alabama or Georgia/Alabama - Florida State. Those would all be bigger embarassements of a game than with Notre Dame. Unfortunetly if not Notre Dame, its the Florida-FSU winner, which either way will make for a historically unwatchable NCG.

Also, moral of the story: Schedule FCS cupcakes the second week of November wherever possible. SEC should be disqualified from the new playoff if they continue to do that charade. Say what you will about the Domers, at least they'll play pretty much anyone.

I hate the FCS crap in November and most fans do also. Judging by the large areas of empty seats in the stadium yesterday I hope that the SEC goes to 9 conference games

Alabama, Georgia and Florida are 2 3 4 in the BCS poll. If Notre Dame doesn't beat USC, there's likely to be a lot of weeping this year.

No Barkley for USC so a win for ND shouldn't be too hard.

I think Alabama or Georgia kick the living snot out of ND, whereas Alabama/Georgia vs. Florida would be a very close game.

Outside of the Oklahoma game ND hasn't impressed me. They scraped past MSU and UM, two teams with stellar defenses (guess what Bama has) and pretty garbage offenses. They needed big time official help to get past Stanford. They went to triple OT against Pitt. They've won their games, so they deserve to be where they are, but I don't see them beating any of the remaining contenders in a NC game. I'm not even sure they'll get by a Barkley-less USC team.

Sounds like Big 10 increasing to 14 teams. Maryland joining and Rutgers expected to announce this week as well.
