I think they would make you wear white cover-alls and eject you out into the pond either by waterslide or catapult. Which method will depend on how long it was since the last people were ejaculated out.

I'm hearing they'll hold races inside to raise money for ovarian cancer. 5,000 men in white spandex suits on Segways.

I've read projection of China having 300,000,000 tourists travelling abroad each year by 2020.

If they build it, the Chinese will go.

But will they come enough to make the giant phallus feasible?

Yeah, living in a place frequented by hordes of mainland Chinese tourists I can absolutely vouch that a facility like this would be unbelievably successful. There is nothing the Chinese love more than doing exactly the same "cool" thing that every other Chinese person does.

And example: here in Taipei there is a gondola which takes you up into the mountains to a really beautiful tea-growing area full of temples and wonderful little tea-houses. It's really quite nice and the gondola ride is similar to the ride up Sunshine, perhaps slightly longer.

The first time I went there I was stunned, the line snaked all the way down the massive terminal building, out the door, and up and around the block. I thought 'Eff this, not a chance' but the girl I was with just grabbed my hand and dragged me into the building. We paid out fee and wound our way up the escalators past several thousand people waiting calmly and patiently in line.

We get to the loading area and I realized that we were going to walk straight onto our own, private gondola because these three thousand people were all waiting for one of the two gondolas with a glass bottom. They are perfectly happy to wait for what must have been hours in line in order to ride a gondola with a glass bottom. For eleven minutes.

This Korean project will be ridiculously successful with mainland Chinese tourists.

I wish humanity still had the desire to build great wonders, not just this crazyness.

With all the technology and human ingenuity, we could build some spectacular wonders.

Oh well, back to Civ5!

All wonders are craziness.

The Pyramids were built to house dead bodies, the Great Wall of China is a defensive weapon, the Taj Mahal is a paean to a dead lover, Stonehenge is a calendar, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa is a mistake.

Obviously this is an oversimplification, and their are outliers, but I would imagine this is how a personality develops in a communist nation. And how a society of those people would start behaving after they start to get some real money.

I feel like they're compensating for different things. Though this does sorta explain the route Samsung has gone with its phones.

A little OT, but I wish people would stop referring to China as a communist nation. It's not communist.

Alberta could build 91 ring roads around Calgary for that much money, based on the cost of the southeast leg.
