I keep flip-flopping back and forth, flopping when I go into a store and hold a device with that size of screen, flipping back when I compare the price with what an iPhone 5 will cost without a contract.
Performance wise it seems fine.

I'm still on the fence. The lack of LTE isn't an issue for me anymore. I've done some reading, watched some videos, etc...and I'm fine with it not having LTE.
It's the storage thing that I take issue with.
When I heard that Google Music would be available in Canada, I was on board. Since reading that it isn't, I'm on the fence again.

I am for sure getting it. This phone will be a huge upgrade over my BB.

Having a faster connection is obviously great and all but I'm really confused by the love for LTE. Yes it's faster but.. okay.. what are you doing with your phone? Web pages load is seconds already, that's no problem. So yeah, I dunno, what's the big deal? I get at home faster internet is great but I'm not using my phone as my home internet.

Like every progression in technology it's about cutting down on the waiting and improving the experience.
I quite enjoy LTE but still waiting on better battery life above anything before considering using it full time.
Lack space, no LTE, glass backing and unknown battery life has definitely turned some people I think or at least caused more people to wait for the initial batch to reveal any actual production issues.

If the Nexus 4 supports HSPA+, you can play back all the movies, music, tv shows, etc, etc as fast as you could on LTE.
I really don't understand why people get so hung up on LTE. Sure, I would love a 200mbps connection, but I can barely saturate my 10mbps, and that is on a DESKTOP. I can't imagine how much less I would use that additional bandwidth on a phone.
LTE will be superior once it is deployed over the 700mhz band. I don't see why the Nexus 4 not having LTE should be a problem.

I would say its not as much of an issue outside of the US. Our LTE rollout is (for once) I think leading the world. Verizon plans to have it available in all their 3G markets (ie, everywhere) by mid-2013. So considering the technology is already available in most markets, and will be shortly in all markets, its strange to come out with a phone that doesn't use it. Especially since people usually keep their phones for at least a year. Its pretty similar to the outrage that happened when the iPhone came out without 3G, except now there are infinitely more uses for that kind of bandwidth.

My S2 unfortunately gets 6Mbps on a good day.
Or rather, good night when it's 2:30AM in the morning. Everywhere I go the HSPA network has been congested with Bell.

It's got very little to do with raw bandwidth and everything to do with latency. LTE is far less latent than HSPA or HSPA+. Loading even a single web page results in tens to hundreds of individual HTTP requests. Even low-bandwidth usage like Twitter, there is no comparison using the two, despite the fact the you don't saturate the available bandwidth using either.

The battery is the most concerning to me of the Nexus 4. And you can't replace it.

While that may be true, my provider has little to no changes at all with latency from HSPA to LTE. The only thing that seems to have improved is the speed.
Of course, we're talking about initial deployment. Once they get it all properly figured out, LTE will be vastly superior. This includes using the 700mhz band.

Which carrier are you with? I found the difference to be night and day on Telus.

Yeah, I don't like the non-replaceable battery too. I'm not even a person who has a second battery, I just like the idea that's it's an option. So far the reviews of the battery are good, as good as you get on these smart phones though I suppose. If I can get through a full day as opposed to my half day with my Nexus S I'll be laughing.

That would explain it. I've more or less heard nothing but good things about MTS in Manitoba.

I'm getting it when it's out on Tuesday. It is going to be a huge upgrade over my 3gs, and battery life can't be worse than what I'm getting now on apples non removable battery.
LTE and 16gb are not issues for me.
