Depends, did you sign a purchase agreement? You're unlikely to get your deposit back if you walk away unless they want to be nice. We bought a minivan when my wife was pregnant with twins. The next week we found out they had TTTS and we were going to lose the pregnancy. I called up our sales guy to explain the situation and he instantly said no problem, we'll refund your deposit.

So I just witnessed this spectacular crash on Deerfoot at the Calf Robe bridge a few minutes ago on my way to work. I called 911, the police walked by, told me to drive away, but didn't ask me any questions about what happened, is this normal?

BTW, I think the accidents happen on Deerfoot because people are DUI. At least the guy who caused the crash seemed to be.

Police more than likely should have taken a statement from you.

Either two things come to mind...
A) They were not aware you witnessed the accident, did you mention that to them?
B) They already had multiple statements from people and felt they didn't require more.

Anyone have a good way to re-attach a passenger side mirror without using duct tape? Super glue possibly?

They didn't ask anything except if my car was drivable. I assume they would've asked more than that.

I saw the whole thing happen, I think maybe the cops knew about an erratic driver, or they just happened to be at the right place. As soon I stopped after the car spun into my lane, I saw the police lights immediately.

It's hard to say, if you are really wondering you could call their non-emergency line and mention that you were at the scene of the accident this morning and that no one took a statement from you. Who ever you talk to should be able to find out if they need a statment from you or if you don't need to worry about it.

I like to lurk on http://canadianmoneyforum.com/, not sure it is the best one out there, but a lot of informative talk. Not super active though...

Anyone notice that HIMYM was a rerun last night even though the guide said it should've been a new episode? I just assumed that it had to do with Sandy

Why do we never sneeze when we're sleeping? With my environmental allergies, I should sneeze while asleep.

When there's an argument on here that derails a thread and is broken up by "take it to PM", do the parties arguing actually continue to argue through PMs?

Yes, that's what happened. CBS pre-empted it's whole line-up because large percentages of the east coast were either going to be without power, or the local stations would be covering the storm.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

That all depends on the definition of a robot going forward.

I am flying to Vegas with Alaskan Air. I fly Edmonton to Seattle to Vegas. Does anyone know if I can pick up a bottle of duty free in the Edmonton airport and carry it through to Vegas or if I will get stuck going back through security in Seattle.

Security in Seattle will take it assuming it is over the 100 ml limit or whatever. Can you put it in your checked bag in Seattle? You should be ok if you can. If not sit at a table and drink for free in Vegas!!
