Oh man I have to use that gambit in the Xbox GM connected.
I love it when you go into a GM connected game and the other guy edits the lines before you start (in the screen where you can see them do it) and puts in his backup. I'm always like "Oh, thanks man, I'm not enough of a challenge to warrant your starter". Hahaha.

My curse words/day quota has been met and exceeded many times over with this game.
The game locked up in the menu after exiting a game and now my EASHL player edits and XP were reset and my boosts were lost. However even after re-allocating a lump sum of XP to get my players ratings back up it has no effect on the ice. Decent size (6'-2" 225), strength and balance xp and he gets ragdolled by every single hit as if he were 5'-5" 165 when before the screw up my player was solid.
The chosen play by play name isn't ever being announced either. Thankfully my legend card and scoring stats are still there. Now off to replay BAP games to re unlock some boosts.

Same with the CPU slider.
Move the human slider left (harder to hit) and the CPU slider right (easier to hit) and a large part of your problem should go away. Worked for me. I actually had to back off a bit because I was destroying the CPU in hits (allstar, offline).

Thanks, that definitely fixed the problem.

If I read correctly, the update coming down the pipe from EA will set the sliders to be proper.

Umm, I just logged into NHL and got a warning saying my 12 Month Season Ticket has expired. This doesn't make sense as I purchased it a week before the game came out.
Anyone else get this?

I thought the AI in NHL 11 and 12 was bad, but NHL 13 takes it to a whole new level of awful.
EA has officially gone full ######.

played a game before the gym early this morning, post-patch.
Game felt good (offline, be a gm, superstar/default).
Hitting was a bit better, passing isn't as perfect (in a good way), and reaction to controller when skating without the puck is better in my opinion (ie. don't feel like trying to skate through mud).

Just finished a game after the new patch & tuner. Not a huge difference for me. Sutble so far. I found my passes to be more accurate than before, not less. Didn't notice much difference skating without the puck...only slightly more agile.

Not a fan of the patch or tuner. Not at all.

What don't you like about it?
I like it cause less goals from bad angles, and shots in the slot have a higher probability of going in. Poke check is balanced, and there seems to be a lot more tripping penalties, and putting points in stick check is worth while now. No more power forwards and snipers in club with super pokes and 75 stick check. Also like how I can turn around now without feeling like I'm in mud all the time.
But, that's my opinion of it, they aren't huge differences, but enough for me to like it.

Does the patch apply to seasons already started in be a GM?
And is it possible to get a major for boarding or hitting from behind?

I believe you can pick the tuner you like most and use that, or just select "latest". Of course I can't recall if you can only change that at the very beginning of the setup or during the season.

It can be changed anytime. Just remember to save your settings.
I keep mine on heavily altered 1.04 tuners after getting tired of tuning to the latest.

I play completely offline, and not BAP. I'm sure this game is actually quite enjoyable with multiple players (and indeed the way it is structured/programmed almost seems to demand 6 vs 6).
There are only two good things to come out of the patch/tuner.
1) It seems like it is easier to hit.
2) Agility without the puck.
Everything else just seems like a giant regression to an already frustrating game. I know a lot of the things I am experiencing weren't officially "changed" in the patch, but any alteration to code or core fundamentals with have a resonating effect throughout the whole. All those disadvantages that the User has in comparison with the AI seems enhanced, or at least more obvious.
It also feels like they have nerfed scoring from places that were high-percentage and realistic before the patch. They say that they made it more rewarding to shoot in the slot, but I don't see that at all. If I do, somehow, miraculously get anywhere near the slot without the AI defense using it's strip-puck or auto-hit powers, I either A) miss the net by a mile, B) have every shot end up in a fantastic save, or C) have the goalie suck up what used to be a legit chance at a rebound. As if super goalies on creative plays weren't enough...
I tried to go back to older tuners, but the effects seem to remain.
Right now I am praying hard to the God of Common Sense to please grant me the ability to quit playing a game that I haven't enjoyed. Why hast thou forsaken me?
