to me he hit him in the chest and then his helmet went up... didnt think it was a great call, butr they call anything when it comes to a QB, especially special Drew Brees at a home game

It's too bad that the SAints couldn't have fallen one for game back, but regardless of tonight's outcome, that defense is all sorts of ugly and they relied on a couple favourable calls to get that win. If this is how they are going to play all their games, I dont see the playoffs in their future

I'm shocked that the Vikings are 4-1. Looks like they have the defence back to what it was three years ago. I hope they can keep it up, would make things interesting in the NFC North.

The Kansas City Chiefs tackle stood up for quarterback Matt Cassel, who was cheered by Arrowhead Stadium fans when he was injured in the Chiefs’ 9-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Cassel, as he has all season, was struggling Sunday and suffered a concussion late in the game.

“But when you cheer, when you cheer somebody getting knocked out, I don’t care who it is, and it just so happened to be Matt Cassel — it’s sickening. It’s 100 percent sickening. I’ve been in some rough times on some rough teams, I’ve never been more embarrassed in my life to play football than in that moment right there.”

The last fan base I remember cheering an injured QB was the Browns when Tim Crouch went down...how has that worked out for them?

Cassel has been awful this year, his play on the field...that was worth jeering. But it's pretty classless to cheer when a player gets injured. I think a lot of fan frustration has to do with Pioli though...he's the guy who traded for Cassel and has ignored the QB position in the draft for the most part. They likely feel this is the only way the Chiefs will make a change at the position. Problem is Brady Quinn comes in now, and I think there are better players on the street to play the position than him myself.

Chiefs fans are mad the team has been bad at home for two years...still poor taste to do what they did, even though I think it has as much to do with their disdain for management as it did with wanting to see their QB injured.

So do the Chiefs go to the street and pick up a David Garrard or Seneca Wallace? Or do they go trade route and go after someone like Colt McCoy? Or do they dive for the top pick and keep playing Brady Quinn?

Things i learned yesterday..

The packers have very low mental toughness...something hard to fathom with McCaerthy as their HC. Also how truly valuable BJ Raji is to that interior.

Cam Newton would be a great RB, but as a QB....he is nothing short of awful.

The Vikings are gonna be tough all year, that D is great and Ponder just doesnt do anything to hurt his team.

Jacksonville will be drafting Barkely....or KC will...both teams are atrocious on offense.

Peyton manning cant throw a deep ball anymore...at all.

Mike Vick will simply never get it...ever.

I will be shocked if the NFC final isnt SF and Atlanta....both teams are reallllly good.

I really hope AJ can reach 10,000 tonight. I think it would be great for him to be able to do so on national TV. He has been such a great pro and he really deserves a chance in the spotlight.

If they go to the trade market, than I think they should target Matt Moore from Miami, who ran the Dabol offence quite effectively last year. But I don't know if Miami would be willing to put themselves in a position where they have no experience at backup QB. Although as much as Jeff Ireland is hated...he already has a pretty healthy stock pile of picks for this years draft, and would likely be happy to add more.

It will depend on Matt Cassel's health. If he's out for any time than they better find somebody because they're down to two guys. Brady Quinn will start next week, and likely get a couple cracks. Their schedule eases up a bit here going forward. Still if you need to go 9-7 to win the Division they have to close out the season on a 8-3 run with a guy like Quinn at QB. What are the chances of that happening? They might as well take their lumps and draft Geno Smith.

Well we could see another year like this year where if you don't get Smith you get Barkley or vice versa so you win either way. Although Jarvis Jones might go before both of them.

Agree on some things, disagree on a few others.

Newtown is still barely in his 2nd year. I think he's show me enough he can be an elite QB in this league.

I actually agree on almost everything but Manning can still stretch the field, just not sure he's getting anything that deep. If I remember the play to Thomas where he fumbled was a deep route. I thought he played his best game of 2012 yesterday. His numbers are still of an elite status this season.

And I agree on SF/ATL. That's a huge race for homefield, because it's gonna matter so much.

I still wouldn't discount Eli Manning and the Giants. They can win any big game on any field. They've gone in the SF and ATL in the past and beat them.

I just dont see it, at all.

He surprised a lot of teams last year, but now that teams have a bunch of video on him, he is becoming much easier to defend. His decision making is certainly questionable as well.

As for Manning, again i understand he is still the smartest QB in the game, but physically his throws are not anywhere near where he once was. Clearly his neck issues are affecting his throwing ability, as those deep balls literally wobble. I will agree though that even with that issue, he is still among the best in the business.
