There are some lonely, backcountry roads out by my place, southwest of the city and I enjoy running down the middle of them for long distances in the early morning. Just me, the cows, the elk, the deer . . . . . and occasionally I have to get out of the way of some hillbilly going 100. Never use an I-Pod doing this.
Walking up in the snow in the mountains with my dogs.
Reading cheap science fiction on my Kindle while drinking a beer in the shade.
And those are the things I've been doing so far today . . . . . .
The mid-summer view from my deck . . . .
Different day, but this is where we were earlier today . . . .

Any laughter or smile that comes from my kids makes the crappiest of days turn around for the better. I hope I never take that for granted.
Beer and sushi round out the top 3.

4 years ago: sun, sand, water and a beer.
Today: anything that comes out of my kid's mouth. Especially anytime she says "Mommy! I did it all by myself!" and the smile that comes afterwards.

Rugby, the feeling of pain and exhaustion is something I truely love.
Talking to either of my kids, they have such different thoughts and ideas.

Just the other day I was out on my bicycle, in a completely empty parking lot, doing the infamous invisible pylon slalom, while singing along to "Church of the Poisoned Mind" by Culture Club that was playing on my iPhone and thinking "I am on top of the world right now".

Watching a nature documentary, particularly about wildlife or astronomy. I find it very relaxing.

Whenever my 3 year old goes into a long tirade describing something with the most exaggerated hand and head movements.
That and snuggling with any of my kids on the couch.
