As I sit here staring at the fins 2-3 record. I can't help but feel we should actually be 4-1 if we had a field goal kicker. Carpenter has been horrible since the start of 2010. He's 10-25 for field goals over 46 yards. He missed from 51 again today, thank god we still held on today. I don't expect him to make all the kicks over 46 yards but an NFL kicker should be able to at least make 19 to 21 for 25 from that. Especially one that makes over 2.5million a year. Time to bring in some competition. That being said bring on the Rams next Sunday. Lets get to 3-3 before the bye week!

Going to be interesting when the 49ers play a team that can slug it out with their defense. Offense has been really impressive today and this season, but they've played some pretty brutal defenses so far in Green Bay, Detroit, and Buffalo when they've won.

Wow, Newton is playing like garbage this year. Is it at all possible he might Jamarcus Russell/Vince Young himself out of the league in 3-4 years, even with the year he had last season?

That Thomas fumble in the first quarter really hurts. The Mcgahee drops really hurts....... And the fact that the Patriots have destroyed their D all day. That Saints game sure is huge tonight

That entire Broncos team led their Quarterback down today.

Seattle may have been a bad call, but they just lost a shootout game to a terrible defense playing for a sub-par .500 team.

Ugly defense
so true, this defense just cant make a play, the offense hasnt been fantastic but that defense is soft and weak

The Pats are awesome this year...made the plays when they had to and regardless of Denver's attempted comeback were just to strong.
Great running game which will create mismatches for teams all year.

Been some disturbing fans reactions in sports the last two days, Giants fans cheering an injury last night to Cueto and then the KC fans today.

That's a crazy record; 48 straight games. Congrats Drew Brees.

I think Matt Cassel saw his last action as a NFL starter. He'll be a backup somewhere else next year.
What happened to Cassel? I don't go on any Chiefs forums and I didn't see what happened

Brady Quinn will start next week< Cassel did get injured alhough with how bad he was playing, good chance Quinn would have started next week anyways. AFC West is a joke but San Diego could pull away and all but clinch it if they hold on tonight vs a god awful Saints team and then next week at home vs the Broncos, it would put them up 3 games and with the tiebreakers.

Saints defense is a level of suck the NFL has not seen in quite some time.
